Geschmack sehr röstmalzig, bittere Schokolade, hopfig, fruchtig bitter.

Lagerboy (2221) - British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 7, 2014
330 ml bottle. Clear deep dark ruby brown, slight hue, foamy tan head mostly lasts. Aroma of dark roasted malt. Sweet richer dark roast taste, some caramel, herbal earthy floral hop bitterness, faint citrus. Average carbonation, medium-full bodied, moderately hopped. Hint of chocolate and coffee near the finish. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 1, 2014
The head is good, body dark brown and cloudy. It smells hoppy-bitter, intensive, aromatic, hoppy, darkmalty. The taste is bitter, darkmalty, aromatic, bit roasty, nice!

meerbier (1474) - Pijnacker, NETHERLANDS - DEC 20, 2013
[email protected] Funk aroma but in a good way. Brown, beige head, good lace. Sweetish, malty, bitter, funky, chocolate, harsh bitter finish. Too much going on, unbalanced.

MiP (15960) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 9, 2013
Bottle, 6%. Fruity and farty aroma., hint of refreshing hop. Hazy brown colour. Small tan head. The flavour is rather bitter to begin with. Then comes a fruity note, and surprisingly a sort of bacterial acidity. A clean acidity, though.

Bamsen78 (5539) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 9, 2013
Bottle from Embrouille - thank you! Pours clear darkish amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with fruity notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with notes of citrus and a touch of grass. Mildly bitter finish. Rather unbalanced but definitely enjoyable.

andrewturba (1190) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 16, 2013
Pours a hazy brown with at least 2 inches of pillowy beige head with big clumps of lace on the glass. Aroma is bread, toffee, light citrus and nuts. Aroma overall is a bit weak. Flavour is roasted malts, cocoa, mild-medium bitterness, earthy, fruity, grapes and lingering dry/bitter finish. Doesn’t really fit as black ipa but maybe it doesn’t quite fit in the given categories. Overall it’s a bit unbalanced.

DuffMan (10602) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 2, 2013
Bottle. Dark brown with golden highlights and a ridiculously massive head that requires multiple installments to pour, then vanishes leaving a few patches of spotty lace. Aroma is chestnuts and bread, light hops. Flavour is mellow nutty malts, light plastic, moderate bitterness. Do not see how this is a black IPA. It’s actually a mess.

hopdog (12953) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 17, 2013
Bottle. Poured a dark brown, almost black color with a smaller sized off white head. Earthy, floral, roasty, chocolate, with a coffee bitter finish.

Les trois dames c est de la tuerie et cette Brown ale est super sympa. Une belle amertume un joli boisé caramel qui nous offre une ballade dans les bois. Merci à Raphaël est ces dames ! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
