Bov (13004) - Bienne, - MAY 10, 2015
from SoBiTa 2015 - cloudy dark orange beer with some floaties; little foam left and a nice lacework; hoppy aroma of orange, peaches and mango; full-bodied, tasty and clean, rounded palate; fairly bitter and with a long fruity hoppy finish (grapefruit and papaya); decently dry - superb

For users of Ratebeer only.

Muddy red brown color with fast decaying foam. The smell is hoppy and a bit sweet. The taste is sweet bitter and tart in a very pleasant balance with an oily mouth feeling. Bitter, dry and tart aftertaste.

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2017 330ml bottle served in a pint glass. Pours a cloudy orange color forming a medium creamy off white head with great retention. Forms a lot of of thin and lingering lacings in the glass. Lots of flakes floating around. Strong notes of pale malts, caramel, pine and tropical fruits in the nose. Slightly sweet upfront. Strong notes of pale malts and caramel malts in upfront. Strong notes of pine and tropical fruits too. Watermelon and grapefruit. Slightly sweet upfront taste. Again, strong notes of pale and caramel malts. Strong notes of pine and tropical fruits. Perfect combination of Simcoe and Citra. Quite bitter. Persistent bitterness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Molasses mouth. Persistent bitterness. Tropical fruits and caramel malts in the aftertaste. Excellent drinkability. Trois Dames masterpiece.

Hazy orange color with bubbly white head, nice lacing. Aroma hops, citrus fruits. Taste is straightforward citrus and grapefruit, marmalade, dry bitter finish. Not too IPA-ish, lacks residual sweetness. A fine beer though!
