Rating #1048 - March 30, 2014 - Older bottle from Jasper Liquor Merchants. Pours a darker amber, with a bubbly tan head. Aroma is spicy, earthy hops, mild berry sweetness, mild citrys. Taste is very syrupy - hops have faded significantly i would imagine. Can’t give full praise to a hopless DIPA but despite its shortcomings, the beer was drinkable.

Bottle thanks to wombat23. Pours dark amber with a thick, fluffy head. Mild lacing. Aroma is lemon juice, orange, caramel, even a bit floral. Nice. Taste is mildly bitter, dry, a bit uneven at the finish with some grainy raw alcohol notes and lingering tangerine. Body is medium, sudsy, with moderate carbonation. Okay.

sulawang (1197) - - OCT 26, 2017
Visual: (cellared for 5 years). Pours almost opaque reddish-brown with a large suspended sediment, no head, very thin ringed retention, no activity.

Nose: brown sugar pruney toffee barley malt. (lvl-4)-pungency

Attack: dull-almost flat CO2, light crisp

Mid-palate: apple toffee malt, (lvl-7-sweetness), tangy heavy alcohol, dates

Finish: residual heavy sugars

Summary: Decent smooth drinkability but flavours are on the heavy and dull side. It needs some brightness to improve the overall balance.

Bottle from a trade with CH-303, thanks! Aroma is resinous hops, thick bready malt, caramel, pine resin, rye bread, overripe fruits, apricot marmalade, and a little alcohol. Flavour is below medium sweet with a bitter finish. Body is above medium. Quite malty with thick grain, caramel and resinous hops. A bit sticky sweet and bitter. Pretty enjoyable.

Butelka 330ml (BB 12.2017).

Bottle from trade with Ch-303, many thanks. Amber color with huge off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, tropical fruits. Taste, solid malty base with caramel, followed by nice distinct hoppy bitterness with zest, pines. Long hoppy bitter finish. Alcohol is dangerously hidden. Tasty.

Pine, overripe tropical fruits, mango, bitter orange, sweet grain malts. Clear, dark gold, medium, creamy, white head. Medium bitter. More bittersweet citrus and tropical fruits, orange, mango, pine, resin, soft carbonation, medium bodied, bitter and dry finish. Decent IIPA, could do with more complexity. Bottle from Drinks of the World, Zurich.

Grumbo (3978) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - MAR 4, 2017
Bottle courtesy of Asbjørn, cheers! Pours copper brown with a long lasting creamy off white head. Aroma of hops, caramel, molasses, fruit, bread, raisin and alcohol notes and rum cask edge. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Medium to full body and slight sticky texture, carbonation is average to soft. Finish is bitter, hoppy, and brown sugar. Good brew.

Renobob (2064) - Besançon, FRANCE - NOV 18, 2016
Bue en bouteille de 33cl. Palais corpulent, amertume correcte mais alcool un peu trop devant. Un peu déséquilibrée. Notes d’agrumes, de citron.
