COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The La Tentation blends three different kinds of fermentation. Its a Saison recipe that is first fermented with Dupont yeasts, followed by a second fermentation with Belgian witbier yeast which has spent one year maturing in oak barrels. The final part of the fermentation comes from wild yeasts from an orchard at the foot of the Jura Mountains. The yeasts and bacteria found naturally on the skin of native Reinette Blanche apples, coupled with months of barrel aging gives the La Tentation a very refreshing acidity. This acidity is balanced by apple fruitiness and hop bitterness, which is characteristic of old-style Saison. Let yourself be tented !

Bottle at the Sybarite Pig in Boca Raton. Shared with Brian. Solid pour with a hazy yellow-orange and a huge white head. Aroma was barnyard, funk, pears, apples, papaya, and hay. The taste was pears, apples, papaya, fresh hay, barnyard, horse blanket, and cheese. Great mild saison with a nice spriteness to it. Great carb, light body. Funky finish. Loved it!

Super hazy orange and bronze coloured body with a very large, six centimetre tall, fast-dying off-white head, but a very good looking beer indeed. Aroma of super sour green apples, bunches of yeast, wheat, coriander seed, wheat, alcohol, grain and some funk - very nice and incredibly complex - even in the nose! Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence; Strong rich yeast flavours with a lot of complexities, from fruit which shows apples, pears and cherries along with a good dose of oak and dry flavours along with some wheat, coriander seed, banana, bubble gum and even cedar. Aftertaste shows a rich complexity that is filled with sour notes, alcohol, dry woods and yeast notes, but somehow this much better than expected, and a great beer! Overall, this was superb, and I;m very happy I tried this and even happier that I didnt have it carry it back from Switzerland! I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 24-January-2017 for US$13,99 sampled at home in Washington on 19-February-2017.

Tria, Philadelphia tap: pours golden with little to no head in my pour. Aroma is wood, vinegar, apple. Taste is fairly sour. Definitey makes you pucker a bit. Woody and complex. Nice.

At James for his 12k tasting. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Soft earthy hops on the nose, a bit of musk, apple. Medium-bodied, dont really get red wine so much, but nice wood, a touch of apple and fruit. Wood into the finish, a touch of soft musk.
