Slightly hazy peach color. You can really smell that wine barrel. Thin dry and slightly tart. Great dryness on the palate fades away enjoyably. fiulijn (20427) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 1, 2012

The color is light amber, muddy, with reddish hue; small compact head. Very nice aroma, vinous, elegant, with some vinegar sourness, and berries. Highly carbonated, smooth, with good body presence, nice combination of fruits and sourness, balanced and harmonious.
L’Amoureuse has an interesting combination of acidity and bitterness with a touch of funk and a whiff of vinegar in the aroma. It is slightly boozy with an appealing texture. drpimento (3572) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 5, 2015
Nice beer. Well executed idea in a straightforward brew. The Pinot come thru nicely in the nose with the malt and tart; nothing off. For flavor, similar to nose, plus good carbonation enhances the tartness which is esthetically done. Excellent body. Nice brew.

Swingtop from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours hazy copper with a fizzy short lived head. Aroma is sour berry with astringency. Flavor is sour with a lot of berry and something like astringent wood. Very nice brew. Travlr (24307) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - FEB 18, 2013

Cloudy amber with a hint of pink. Acidic musty barrel nose. Real sour wild rustic feel to it. I like beers with wine in them. Thin body and very tart & dry. Nice sour. Jow (3899) - New York, USA - JUN 22, 2013
Bottle at Rabbits Club. Nice berry tart nose. Tastes of berries, grape skins, earth, lemons, vinegar, woody, and soy sauce. Nicely carbonated. Really quite tasty. Euro night continues Huhzubendah (3705) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 27, 2013
On draft at Churchkey in D.C. Served alongside L’Amoureuse No. 1 (Blanche). Review from notes.
The beer is reddish and fairly hazy with a small head. The aroma brings grapes, funk, acidity, bread, grains. Definitely the better of the two beers. Smoother with more going on. More pronounced fruit. Tasty grape character throughout. Very enjoyable.
