COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ne de la rencontre fortuite dune stout forte et dune fermentation dabricots du Valais qui jamais natteignit lalambic du distillateur auquel elle tait destine, notre Oud Bruin (flamand pour "vieille brune") est une interprtation assez peu orthodoxe de ses cousines belges.
Elle en garde cependant le dlicat quilibre aigre-doux, entre une solide ossature malte assise sur des malts, aux notes caramlises, chocolates, rties et fruites, dans laquelle vient se fondre le vin dabricot avec son acidit lactique, ses notes de cuir et dtable lies aux levures sauvages, et une discrte note dabricot.
La finale est lgrement amre et le tout se droule tout en harmonie sur le palais.
Une bire unique, dune grande buvabilit mais joliment complexe, entre douceur, fruit et acidit. Elle se mariera avec lagneau, le canard, les moules, les crustacs ou des fromages pte molle ou mi-dure.
Srie limite de 1.200 bouteilles de 75cl, 7.2% dalcool/volume, 35 units internationales damertume (IBU).

Bottle of Grande Dame at olbutikken. Pours a hazyish brown with a small off-white head. Medium sourness with aromas of cask wood and tiny spicy hints. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Dry and slightly sour finish.

(draft @ Avenue Pub - New Orleans, LA) Dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Fruity aroma with a definite funk undertone. Big funky and tart flavor at the start with a light and subtle fruit sweetness under that. Dry, tart and funky finish. Quite nice.

Flaska frn SB. Brunmurrig vtska som drar ltt t rtt. Ltt doft av grnmgelost och nr temperaturen stiger allt mer aprikos. Tydlig aprikossmak, skal, fruktktt och krna, st och syrlig, mjuk, lite krv trig och med en ltt grnmgelost ton i bakgrunden. Riktigt trevlig.

jet black, puffy cream head gone quick. Tootsie roll, dark cherry and chocolate, thin and lightly rooty, slight roast-citrus contrast but mellow and balanced if faintly sweet. But of olive lingering.

Draft at Redlight Redlight the night before RBWG 2015 listed as Grand Dame. Murky brown with off-white head. Aromas of vinegar, tart fruit. Tastes of vinegar, tart dark fruit, cherries. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Brown color with reddish highlight and huuge fluffy foam. Sour fruity aroma, chocolate, caramel. Taste is tart-fruity and caramely. Dry finish. Smooth carbonation. Nice.
