Draft at Memphis. Pours a cloudy reddish brown with some thin head. Notes of dark fruits, vinegar, funk, cherry. Fairly tart with a medium body and soft carbonation.
A- Cherry, subtle oak, subtle vinegar.
A- Reddish brown color, clear liquid, minimal head.
T- Vinegar, mild tartness, cherry.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2017 Bottle at Bellwoods. Deep red colour with finely bubbled head. Lovely woody aroma with tart cherry, apricot, maltiness, some sweetish sour notes. Very complex. Flavours of woody cherries, middle is sourness with a touch of malty sweetness and funk, with lingering cherry skin and pit tartness. Lively carbonation. Tasty stuff. Malmö, Malmö (28/01/2017) - black coloured pour with a off-white head. Aroma and taste is medium sweet with notes of stone fruit, malty backing, then some sour hard edge comes in with vinegar, some cherry notes, wood, dried apricot, tart fruity finish.
Keg at BD Malmo. It pours black with a small off-white head. The aroma is sweet, tangy, red grape, plum, date, lactic, wood, vinous and blackcurrant. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, vinous, earthy, syrupy blackcurrant, lemon sherbet, green apple, tangy, lemon sherbet, berry skin and vinous with a dry, tangy finish. Dark deep brown under a thin light tan head. Amazing nose that’s tart, dark, complex, a touch cocoa and woody, and lightly dark fruity. Crisp and tart flavor that’s dark and kinda cocoa-ish, sour, herbal, roasty and very delicious. Pretty nice albeit oxidized. Aged for an unknown amount of time.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured no head or was fully diminished. The body was semi-transparent brown colored with no lacing. The nice aroma was funky farmhouse tart and sour. The flat mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The funky flavor contained notes of tartness and was sour. My first brush with Trois Dames and one of the better Oud Bruins I’ve gotten to enjoy. Brown pour with a short-lasting head. Aromas of must (as in decay, not wine - that’ll come later), funk, earth, hay, dank wood, vinegar, and cherry. Flavors are complex and can be tricky to pinpoint at times. There’s a big vinegar note, but not like you might often experience in a sour beer. It IS acidic, but it’s got a vinous character that’s rich and nearly meaty. Almost like red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar. Tart cherry taste, too - plenty of rotted and soured qualities to the fruitiness. It’s all finished by a dry feel.
