3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Malt aroma, persistent alcohol taste. The foam has something ’handmade’. Light body, nothing special about the flavour. The alcohol is quite persistent in the throat, quite persistent final.
Bottle @ Odense Tasting, July 2012. Pours cloudy amber with a white head. Maad yeast, rubber and a whiff of tart fruit. Staying true to the Troldhede style. RichardW (1813) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - NOV 7, 2011
bottle, vin-og-gaver.dk. A really nice looking ruby-amber beer, the aroma is fairly yeasty, with hints of staleness. On the tongue, leaves and bark are the dominant flavours, with just a touch of smoke, soft finish and a warm bready aftertaste. I set out thinking this was quite English in style, but, as it progressed, that lessened with progress. Quite interesting, not one I think I could drink a lot of though, despite the alcohol being pretty well hidden. Pinball (12600) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 4, 2011
