Nearly black, deep brown color. Small foaming head. Little herbal aroma and roasted barley aroma. Sweet and roast taste. astringency from green tea? DuffMan (10596) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 23, 2014
Bottle, shared with Parksy and Grippitis. Murky amber brown with very little head formation. Aroma and flavour are more malty caramel than anything, with tea-like tannins, dried leaves/flowers, and cocoa all in muted and muddled presence. Not at all what I was expecting from the label. Like most Italian beers I’ve tried lately, pretty unimpressive considering the advertised contents and the price. alexsdad06 (10636) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - MAR 23, 2013
Bottle shared by the group. Pours a cloudy brown color with a small bubbly head. The aroma had much of what was listed in the description; green tea with herbal notes and mint and only a light malt presence. The flavor actually shows some boozy notes around the herbs and spices, mint, hints of fruit and green tea. Again, only a light bready malt presence. fonefan (50489) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JAN 31, 2013

Draught @ [ Birre Sotte L’Albero 2012 ]
@ Bir&Fud, Via Benedetta 23, Roma, Italy 00153.
Clear dark brown colour with a average to large, creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, fruity, spicy, moderate yeasty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, fruity, roasted, cacao . vanilla, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle to snifter (2011 vintage - ingredients and description are the same as the 2010). Looks decent; a murky dark brown with razor-thin off-white lacing and very little carbonation. Smells pretty good; coriander, tea, and mint with a malty and slightly boozy background. Tastes like it smells with a good, albeit intense, mouthfeel. Very different, but quite enjoyable; definitely a sipper. jcweaver (768) - VA Beach, Virginia, USA - JUN 21, 2012
Bottle. Pours brown with a small beige head. Bready aroma with notes of spicy hops, dried fruits, mint, coriander and a touch of camomile. Flavor is similar with some added alcohol and estery notes. Sweet finish.

Bottle - label shows "Brewed in 2010". Pours a murky swamp water brown with an unsteady layer of tan froth on the surface. Aroma is strong herbal and flowery notes with mint, bath soap, sweet tea and candied fruit. Taste is big chamomile and mint with herbal notes up front and then softer tea, spice and coriander in the background. There’s more candied fruit, soft malt notes and brown sugar in there as well. The body is light-medium with faint carbonation and a mild alcohol warmth. Finishes with more big chamomile, mint, herbs, soft spice, sweet tea, candied fruit, and brown sugar. Alcohol is slightly more noticeable here as well. MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAY 30, 2011
chestnut with tan hinges, thin fizzy white head. Bit of heat, nuts, caramel, leaf. Hot, very sweet finish lingering at the end. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - MAY 15, 2011
Bottle shared by jslot38: Pours a clear deep copper brown with a spotty-lacing off-white head. Has a lightly sweet toasty nutty nose with some dry earthy hop notes. Starts with some good light toasty caramel sweetness and complex nutty flavor with a touch of dark caramel warmth in the drier finish. Has pretty good complexity, but could hide the alcohol a little better.
