American Saison
This beer is a bright and easy drinking farmhouse ale. Grassy undertones give way to a blooming citrus nose that presents itself upon a sweeter malt base than many saisons.

Tap at TBC. Hazy orange pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma is peppery, spicy, estery, funky and fruity. Very nice saison with the citra hops showcasing an interesting tropical fruit flavor

Tap. The look is hazy, off white head, golden to copper in color. The smell is fruity esters, yeasty, wheat, bubble gum. The taste is a slight fruity grainy sweetness, yeast, gummy, ok.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a very murky dirty apricot amber with a thin white head. Gentle citrus and musk on the nose. Medium bodied, a touch of wheat, musky with some graininess, slow citrus and warmth. Slow bitterness and a lot of musky yeast on the finish. Very nice.

A pretty decent saison though not super exciting. Typical middle of the road saison.. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy, dark orange, with a lot of lacing. Big orange peel aromas, with some coriander, grains, and light bread. Sweet, light bitterness - nicely balanced. Medium body, sharp, and acidic. Overall, this is a pretty nice beer. What is lacks in complexity and traditional character, it makes up for in a brilliant and subtle hoppiness. I don’t normally like overhopped American saisons, but this one’s pretty good!

3/28/13. On tap during CBC 2013, at Churchkey, I believe. Orange pour with a nice khaki head. Light malts in the aroma, fruity hops, tropical, with light spice and ester. Nice spice and ester balances well with the fruity hops. I guess I dug this more than others.

Draft, listed at 6.5% ABV. Small beige head with cloudy amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, some pineapple, orange, spicy. Taste is moderately sweet, pineapple, some grapefruit. Light-medium body, light resin, stickiness.

Very nice mango skin orange with one finger of sandstone head. Aroma shows grapefruit juice, fruit skins, a light acidity, and various fruity esters. Overripe fruit in the flavor and slick fruit skins, Earthy with light yeasty notes. Hops dominate this one for sure. Medium light body.

Growler, thanks Bob for picking this up. Had high hopes for this "Citra Saison" but I kinda expected to be let down a bit too, so i don’t know how high those hopes were. My first trophy beer. Okay, fruit forward saison with some florals, grass, and sweeter malts. Sad that I just missed trying the Haw River collab. as I bet that one was money.

Had this a couple times at the brewery so far, and on both occasions I’ve been impressed with it. Bright light orange pour, well carbonated with a firm, foamy head. Nice nose of grass and spice that’s complemented by the citra. More tropical fruits to taste, gets close in places to a Belgian IPA but thankfully stays for the most part in the grassy, spicy climes of a saison. Well done.

Growler from the brewery, which was nice enough to let me buy growlers a few hours before they opened two days in a row. Super nice guys. This one pours an orange-amber, hazy, with a surprisingly small head. Nose certainly shows citra hops... citrus and a hint of grass and plenty of saison yeast and some esters. A bit of a tart funk. Taste adds sweetness and a dry, white pepper finish.
