F: big creamy pale brown, lasting. C: dark, opaque. A: roasted malt, fruity, caramel, raisins, sweet coffee. T: 0,33l bottle from De Hopduvel in Gent, malt, roasted malt, some coffee, raisins, dates, maple syrup, crisp dry bitterness on the palate and hint of alcohol, vanilla tones, full complex body, medium carbo, not astonishing despite it very good one.

Troubadour imperial stout, apparence noir clair, odeur Malte alcool, goût très bien alcoolisé type belge palais chocolaté, globalement très sympa mais peut être un peu trop forte

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of creamy roasted malt. Flavor of chocolate, creamy coffee and roasted caramelised malt. Bit yeasty also. Very Belgian impy. All right.

Bottle from Trembling Madness, York. Inky black with ruby highlights and a thick white-tan head of foam. It has chocolate and liquorice flavours with red fruit and a spicy, tart fruity Old Ale style flavour and finish. Very Nice!

Aroma:
Slight aroma of malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, bread, dark fruit, liquorice, chocolate and roasted malts.

Appearance:
Turbid/opaque ruby/dark brown beer with a medium beige head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, dark fruit, liquorice and chocolate; ends slightly bitter and dry with bread and roasted malts.

Overall:
This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Basically a Quad with roasted malts, which is okay. The aroma could have been way stronger however. Overall an okay beer, but could have been so much more.

Soon good. They nailed it with this one. Nothing’s off, everything’s perfectly balanced.

33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 16.03.2018
Aroma is rather neat with belgian yeast and sweet licorice tones. Flavour has licorice, fruity yeast and spicy notes. A bit too foamy palate. A stout with nice Belgian twist, reminds me of Malheur Dark Brut.

Nez café et boisé avec une touche caramel pour la douceur. En bouche, beaucoup de café/caramel. Un fond d’amertume de la torréfaction qui donne un côté boisé.
