From a bottle shared at Todd’s. Sweet fruity malty and a lot of sugar. So much fruit. Past its prime. Alengrin (6017) - BELGIUM - OCT 13, 2016
From a 75 cl vintage bottle at five years of age at Kulminator, shared with Craftmember, Stéphanie and Olivier. Like the other Magma variations, this beer shows a very thick, rocky, heavily ’paper’ lacing, egg-white head and hazy, warm orange blonde robe with lively fizz. Aroma has no obvious signs of oxidation and has even retained much of the Cascade fragrance: orange peel and pink grapefruit are clearly still there, along with impressions of roses, soggy biscuit, mango, strawberry, apricot, marmelade, cognac, toasted bread. Dried mango and strawberry in the onset, sweet with a sourish red berry accent balancing, medium carbo, soft and fluffy, bready and biscuity middle, ’full’ and very pleasant, honeyish even, the latter seamlessly attaching to the sweet orange and mango properties of the hops in the finish, though the aroma is doubtlessly not half as fragrant now as it once was and its bittering powers have softened; spicy yeasty notes and a warm glow of cognac-like alcohol round things off. Has held up very well: even after five years of age, this was still quite a fragrant, elegant beer having lost none of its body, probably softened and rounded a lot, but highly enjoyable still. Too bad I missed this when it was young but I’m glad I had it in this aged version, cellared with knowledge and experience in perfect circumstances in the legendary establishment that is the Kulminator. 574deadzone (1420) - North Central, Indiana, USA - APR 18, 2015
I guess I got my bottle "now." Pours a murky dark gold to amber with a decent off-white head that settles to a thicker ring and leaves some spotty and soapy lace. Nose involves some old oxidized caramel malt, some grape-like character, ripe peach, some twangy borderline aspirin, sultanas, some wispy florals. Fairly sweet, maybe a bit more bitter. Medium to full bodied, fair action, grainy, prickly, finishing bitter and oxidized. Yeah, not a fair rate probably, but taking it for what it is at this point, it’s not that bad. Unfortunately, the yeast must have taken a back seat in its youth (as a "triple IPA"), and while it offers something now, it just isn’t enough to over come what age has done here. Nice cheap distributor burn though. TheJester (2543) - Cavan Monaghan, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 31, 2015
I left this one too long. The hops were no longer a factor. Still a nice beer, though. Actually had some barleywine characteristics to it as well. Certainly no longer an IIPA.

Bottled. Pours hazy amber with an average, tan head. Aroma of caramel, citrus and flowery notes. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry and pleasant bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. An excellent brew. DroolYeast (1825) - Odder, DENMARK - JUL 11, 2014
From 750 ml bottle. Thank you henriksoegaard for this.
Aroma of tropical fruit, citrus hops, almost sweet from hops. Hazy amber with good, slightly off-white head. Small head is lasting.
Taste of more hops, some alcohol, moderate sweetness, heavy bitterness. Finish is long lasting hoppy sweetness. Rich body. Lively carbonation. Soapy texture. PriorL (3068) - Gent, BELGIUM - JAN 21, 2014
