Bottle. Hazy golden beer with a frothy white head. Inticing aroma of Belgian yeast and American hops. Notes of citrus, phenols, peach, malts. Smooth, yet heavy bitter in the mouth. Sweet malts, fruity hops, slightly astringent finish. Nice!

Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, straw, alcohol, and peaches. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, straw, citrusy hops, and peaches, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

Papsoe (25055) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 14, 2012
Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a cloudy golden with a huge and lively off-white head with an excellent retention leaving quite some lacework. Fresh citrusy hops dominate the aroma. Solid body, carbonation is moderate and pleasant. Very, very fruity a little subtle yeast, again some citrusy hops leaving a heavy bitterness. For once a nice hybrid of a Belgian beer with American hops. 140212

3.9
Defreni (3303) - Husum, DENMARK - FEB 12, 2012

Tap. Pours lightly hazy amber with a medium, fizzy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is biscuit and straw malt, pine and resin hops, floral hops with fruity esters. Flavor is heavy hops and bitterness, supporting malt and fruity esters with a dry finish. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation.

On tap at Rustico in Alexandria. Served in a tulip.

Pours a very, very hazy peach color with a two-finger white head and a bit of lacing on the way down. Fairly ugly. The nose has some slight Cascade hops and a bit of Belgian yeast, though there’s something off. Here, it smells and subsequently tastes fairly hoppy, but more in the way of something that’s been overly dry-hopped, or some sludge that still has hop-pellet remnants in it.

Nothing too impressive. Medium body with moderate bitterness. I couldn’t get into this one.

musinj6 (510) - Dedham, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 23, 2012
Pours with an average head that quickly diminishes. Light malt flavor with average hops. Prominent peppery flavor up front. Medium body with lively carbonation. Finishes long with heavy bitterness.

Hazy orange-copper colored with a medium, pillowy, vanilla ice cream colored head that stays. Decent lacing. Aroma of flowers, citrus, sweet bread and grapes. The taste is really yeasty with some pale malt and mild hop flavors. Medium bodied and dry. Not bad, but kind of weak.
