loving the idea of a new genre of Belgian pale ales out there. the marriage of big American hops with Belgian Tripel strenghts sounds appealing. This beer pours rich, dark golden, huge, fluffy off-white head. lots of carboation. nose of citrus, grapefruit, grassy malts, wheat, faint pine and resin, honey.real appetizing. subtle Belgian yeast sweetness, esters, honey, caramel malts, earthy pine notes then bitter, dry finish finish. real creamy mouthfeel and simply well balanced. Great BPA. dbarnold (1127) - Bethesda, Maryland, USA - DEC 12, 2011
On tap at Paradiso Dupont...much darker than a typical tripel...was more the color of a quad. I couldn’t tell me for the hops this was smooth and sweet and pretty tasty overall. Didn’t have the complexity of some of the best tripels, but tasty and good on a cold night.

Bottle from kegs and barrels. Pours a rich copper color with a thin white head. The aromas are citrus, bread. The mouthfeel is dry, bitter and has a medium body. Cheers! sebletitje (10293) - Enghien, BELGIUM - DEC 4, 2011
75cl bottle shared with ajax25g.
750ml bottle from Pick’s poured into a Chimay Trappist glass. Pours a cloudy orange with about 3 finger of off-white head. Aroma of floral hops, grass and grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Lots of Belgian sugar and honey with a decent bit of floral hops. Medium bodied with a thick and creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, pretty good. Not really what I was expecting but still very good.

750ml Bottle: Aroma of malt, hops, Cascades, flowers, slight grass, and caramel. Poured amber/orange in color with a large, creamy, loose, rocky, off-white head that greatly diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Lightly sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Excellent lacing. Flavor is light to medium sweet sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of malt, hops, Cascades, honey, caramel, slight grass, slight pine, slight resin, a hint of alcohol, and yeast. Medium body. Oily, then slightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, hop, honey, caramel, Cascade finish is slightly dry, light to medium sweet, and lightly bitter. 9%ABV is a bit present in the flavor. bu11zeye (13215) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 1, 2011
