Bottle from The Bier Temple. Pours translucent gold with a slight white head. Aroma seems floral/citrus. Med body or better. Flavor is floral/citrus with some nice malt support. Decently bitter, tho not wholly dry. It has great flavor. Highly recommended.

Pours light yellow, really heazy, with some chunky flakes floating around. Full finger fluffy white head, great retention. Citrus and grass on the nose, some sharper floral notes, fresh hop, crackers, soft honey, cilantro. Nice fruity front, with green apricot, pineapple and a lot of white grapefruit, but also some tangerine and underripe peach. Really floral, too, spicy, perfumey. A solid malty middle, a great canvas especially for the dry finish: earthy peppery spices, cider apples, spicy bitter hops, with some hints of spruce even. Lingering bitterness, some juicy fruity notes, too, mainly citrus. Medium body, high carbonation. I always enjoyed these Magma variations, and the complexities each one brings. Although, im not sure its just the change of the base malt that worked here, theres definitely a modern approach on the style than the regular one, at least from some time ago.

Bottle 33cl. Hazy yellow with a medium white top. Aroma is mildly sweet with hints of citrus peels and honey (?). The taste is mildly bitter with touches of grain up front, but the aftertaste develops into an frenzy of bitterness, grain and dry hop touches. Remarkable!

Keg at Six Degrees North, Aberdeen. It pours cloudy golden - orange with a medium white head. The aroma is bright, fresh, stewed orange, tangerine, orange sherbet, tangy candy, orange blossom, brioche & marmalade and some toasty bready malts. The taste is bitter - sweet, initially quite heavy on the palate, stewed orange, tangerine, estery, pear, apple, booze, straw, cereal, toasted grain, spice, grass, porridge and earth with a drying and warming finish. Medium - full body and moderate carbonation. Maybe a bit too heavy, but it has some good aspects to it.

nathanvc (409) - Brugge, BELGIUM - FEB 16, 2017
At Bruges Beer Fest 2017. Pours hazy blonde with a frothy white head that leaves lacing. Smells of fruits and hops. The aroma contains fruits (orange, peach), hops, malts, grass, yeast, citrus - very complex. It alternately tastes light sweet and medium bitter. Dry and bitter finish. Oily palate, fizzy carbonation, long aftertaste. Complex, very good.
