On keg at Six Degrees North, Edinburgh. Appearance - golden brown with a nice fluffy head. Nose - toffee and nuts. A hint of red fruit. Taste - more toffee and nuts. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Sweet but tangy. Overall - yeah, good. Not an Imperial IPA. Either an English or Belgian Strong Ale.

Pours a dark golden yellow, with some decent head on it. Nose wasnt too strong - maybe it was too cold off the tap. Some banana, perhaps. But man. This tastes delicious. Id describe it as a blend between a tripel and an APA; the tripel takes the forefront, with banana and clove and sweet smooth delicious, then some bittering hops take away the sweetness, but not in the overpowering way a double IPA might. It finishes crisp, yet with a touch of lingering banana. Very balanced.

Tap@Kompasset. Pours hazy orange golden with lazing offwhite head. Aroma has light malt, biscuit, caramel and a resinous, citrus hoppiness. Taste is malty with biscuit, caramel and hoppy with grass, citrus, resin and apricot notes. Finish is quite dry and bitter with long resinous hoppiness. Good one!

I really like this. It pours with a huge, attractive, pillowy white head. The aroma is a lovely combination of lime and pine. The simcoe aroma hops are very recognisable. The taste is a juicy, satisfying IPA with a very clean and strong lager-like bitterness from the Czech bittering hops. The mouthfeel is quite dense and there is a big hit of alcohol present. Towards the end of my glass I added the yeast from the bottle, which gave a comparatively unpleasant thick and musty character. Dont add the yeast.

Dark cherry wood brown color with a moderate taupe head. Initial DMS scents slowly fade to reveal some light roasted malt, hints of herbal hops and hint of coffee. Lightly sweet flavors. I somehow get a musty roasted flavor. I think I understand what they were going for, enjoy it for what it is, but I dont think it quite works for me. An Irish red/brown. Ok. 7/10
