This is not what I expected from a triple ipa. It’s less hoppy and more of a malt driven belgian style beer. It’s an interesting beer. Definitely something worth trying. I was expecting the enamel to be ripped from my teeth from the triple ipa hops... But it’s more like a trippel-ipa like a belgian trippel sweet malt ale with a touch of hops.

Pours in dark amber, good white foam. Aroma has dark fruits notes, mango, floral. Taste is sweet with a long lasting earthy bitterness. Body is full, heavy with medium carbonation. Palate is well balanced towards the bitterness.

Great ipa. There is a lot more going on than just bitterness. Complex flavor with grapefruit and floral grassy notes. Prickly soft carbonation. The 9% does not come back in the flavor. Will definitely buy again.

Aantrekkelijke kleur.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2015 Pours a deep orange with a white head. Aroma of dried fruits, apricot, grapefruit, malt, some peach, caramel, yeasty notes, some pine, hops. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Body is full. Rich and sweet Belgian IIPA with a big malty dried fruity aroma.

Great Double IPA. Nothing to say. Ok there’s something worth mentioning: mild as for Double IPA and not as bitter as american representatives.
