Bottle. Dark brown almost black color with a firm beige head. Nose is roasted with chocolate (dark and bitter) and coffee, some hops as well. Taste is roasted and malty with coffee, chocolate truffels (the ones that are rolled in cocoa) and raisins. Rather bitter hoppy character as well.

33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown and reddish with a diminished off-white head. Mild fruity aroma. Flavour is mild chocolate malty for a base giving a smooth flavour to the mild dried fruity notes. Ends with a mild chocolate malty note.

oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - APR 15, 2008
Bottled. Deep brownish amber colour, not much head. Aroma is plum, spices, yeast and sweet malts along with some breadyness. Flavour is very plummy, quite alcoholic, sweeet malts as well as some dark dry fruits and chocolate. Though the alcohol is quite apparent, the beer is very wellbalanced.

Travlr (26406) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 30, 2008
On draught. Deep ruby with scant brown head. Aroma of chocolate-flavored coffee. Taste of roasted malt and almonds, toffee late. Roasted chestnut finish, quite long-lasting. Good one, should age quite well.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Rich dark beer but doesn’t have a thick palate. Not bitter. Rich malty finish. Easy drinking.

omhper (25948) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUN 30, 2005
Bottled. Dark ruby, rich head. Loads of butterscotch lasting from the nose to the finish, accompanied by lingonberries and soil. Sweet with full to medium body and a cottony/velvetty mouthfeel with lots and lots of caramel. Salty finish.

Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 5, 2007
(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy, dark brown with an orangey hue and a dense, creamy, beige head that leaves laces. Sweetish aroma of dried fruit and roasted malt. Quite full-bodied with plenty of roasted malt, fruit, dried fruit and overripe fruit. Soft and smooth mouthfeel, but no bitterness to speak of. 281107
