Bottle shared in London - thanks to Fergus. Pours clear red-brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose has some well toasted bread, ripe berries, earth. Medium sweet flavour with more ripe, leathery berries, raisins, earth, toast. medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with minimal warmth, toasty bread, more ripe berries, nips of oxidation. Enjoyable. Rasmus40 (20616) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAY 4, 2012

Dark amber to brown color; big creamy head. Nice aroma, malty, with light roasted malt. Good mouthfeel, good structure, malty (and a bit sweet) with an interesting roasted malt touch, very light smokey, and an original woody (sour) character. Very good! AMber with a very nice creamy offwhite head. Malty aroma with toffee notes, some chocolate, juniper berries and vanilla. Malty flavor, some spices, milky. Spicy finish, maybe a bit thin. harrisoni (18570) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 27, 2006
Bottle at Paters Vaetje, Antwerp. Very dark brown/cloudy with thick beige head. Dry malt aroma with choc and camp coffee. Some raisin. Nice choc and fruit in mouth with grainy dry finish. Bit of vinous in mouth. Really excellent beer, wonderful in mouth, just needs a bit more complexity. saxo (18284) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - SEP 20, 2010
Bottle. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are rich fruits, chocolate, malt and caramel. Oakes (17642) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 22, 2006
Very dark brown colour. Light roasty, chocolatey character. Light body for size. A bit of soy sauce note to the fairly intense malt profile. No particular roast. Decent. A revisit is in order, though. TBone (17519) - Pori, FINLAND - AUG 1, 2009
Bottled 75 cl (Bs, ABV. 8.2%).
Dark brown, almost opaque, nice creamy beige head, lace. Aroma of molasses, vanilla, coffee and oak. almost like a whisky barrel-aged beer ... oak chips added? Quite light and mild palate for over 8% beer. Flavor has coffee, sweet molasses, toasted malts. Simple flavor which is a bit similar to some foreign extra stouts.
