Clear light amber, off-white head. Something very strange in its aroma and taste, like some fresh herb has been added. Something like nettles. Don’t like it.

From bottle. Poured golden color with a white head. Hoppy aromas with coriander, yeast and spicy notes. Good sipping beer on a warm day.

UPDATED: MAR 13, 2013 330ml. Dusty brass pour skimmed with white. Unappealing malt loaf in a rusty tin aroma; Quorn sausage, fig hints, parsley. Slick, herbal, malt loaf spread with marmalade character. Bitter finish; soap, stone, parsley. Get me a real beer...

Dobry i smaczny i dość wyrazisty smak tego specjalnego belgijskiego piwa. Zmętnienie średnie choć osadu mało, ale za to piękna i trwała piana utrzymująca się do końca degustacji. Kolor miedziano-rudy, zapach słodowy, podobnie w smaku, finisz zdecydowanie wytrawno-chmielowy.

(33cl bottle thanks to bu11zeye) clear amber with lasting film of light tan bubbles. Nose of gold raisin, sweet, belgian yeast. Taste is lightly toasted grains, a bit watery, lightly spicy, medium carbonation and body.

Huubs (142) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 16, 2013
UPDATED: MAY 13, 2014 33cl bottle from brewer @Brugs BierFestival 03/02/2013. - Modern, sleek version of the Palm-style Spéciale Belge with more efficient bittering hops and cleaner cara/toasted malts. Not too much going on in the way of aroma besides shy caramel and herbal hops. Very pleasant mouthfeel compared to sticky Palm, easy drinking with a bit of a hop bite. Almost fit for sessioning (would wish it was a bit more creamy). / rerate: [email protected] Arsenaal, Antwerpen as their house beer. Definitely more grassy bite and amber malt character than the omnipresent sinjoors bolleke. Good move, Oud Arsenaal - may the sunscreens serve you in summer.
