UPDATED: MAY 13, 2014 33cl bottle from brewer @Brugs BierFestival 03/02/2013. - Modern, sleek version of the Palm-style Spéciale Belge with more efficient bittering hops and cleaner cara/toasted malts. Not too much going on in the way of aroma besides shy caramel and herbal hops. Very pleasant mouthfeel compared to sticky Palm, easy drinking with a bit of a hop bite. Almost fit for sessioning (would wish it was a bit more creamy). / rerate: [email protected] Arsenaal, Antwerpen as their house beer. Definitely more grassy bite and amber malt character than the omnipresent sinjoors bolleke. Good move, Oud Arsenaal - may the sunscreens serve you in summer.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden to light-amber colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Rather discreet aroma of cara-malt, subtle fruity notes and a tinge of grassy hops. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Mildly toasted malty taste with hints of caramel, shy fruity notes and hops in the background; moderately dry and slightly hop bitter finish with caramel in the aftertaste. 19.I.13

Amber colour. Flavour has a pleasant level of bitterness and a light sweetness making it a good easy to drink session beer.
