Looks.. Black, tan cream large head.
Smells..dark heavy roasted malts, sweet caramel, stone fruit and skittle citrus.
Tastes..huge stonefruit, roasty malts and dark caramel, some coffee, healthy bitterness. Really smooth almost creamy mouthfeel. Darn good. Lilja (3171) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAY 9, 2016
Mycket gott! BenL8 (211) - SWITZERLAND - MAY 4, 2016
Almost black with a big frothy head which remains. Looks really perfect. Black IPA aromas; very hoppy, lots of chocolate and even more cocoa, dark malts and some coffee, quite complex. Even some berries, maybe raisins. Flavour: some hoppiness at first which quickly disappears.
Cocoa is very intense, one can really taste the beans. Malt is not too intense, alcohol doesn’t come through either. All in all flavour is mild. Finish is not too dry. Cocoa/chocolate lingers for a long time. Really nice beer, an IPA in the nose, not so much in the taste. ClaudeB04 (405) - Dudelange, LUXEMBOURG - APR 20, 2016

Smoked porter-esque (dried) coffee & bacon nose, with (chilli) chocolate and a little vanilla poking through. More candy and caramel in the body, along with grassier hops. Medium smoky finish.
Nice mix of roasty + sweet malts, with hop backbone. Call it a Black IPA, a smoked porter, imperial measures or whatever. It’s subtle, silky + nice. CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide to Belgium (2014) notes that this “muddle-hopped”; that is, with all due respect (and that is a heck of a lot of respect, in all honesty), a red herring. This beer, and Magma (by the same brewers ), show that Troubadour are way, way beyond hobbyists these days.

Pours a beige Head with with first aromas of candy, hops, and secondly roasted malt. Brown colored body. Mouth is sweet, round but malts are too much roasted.

Hoppy aroma. A small but nice milky chocolate head. Dark brown color. The head feels like a cappuccino head. A little chocolate-like sweetness cover by combined hop and roasted bitterness, azzie (822) - Pula, CROATIA - MAR 6, 2016
Bottle 0,33l. Dark mahogany color, beige head. Medium to full body, light carbonation. Medium bitterness, long spicy finish. Some caramel and wormwood in taste.
