Tasting Notes: Brewed exclusively for P.Mac’s, Cassidy’s and Blackbird pubs, this extremely hoppy IPA uses generous doses of Centennial, Chinook, Simcoe, Amarillo and Mosaic. The aroma dominates with intense floral and citrus against a relatively simple malt profile with just some crystal rye malt to help enhance the spicy character of the hops.
Grain: Pale Ale, Crystal Rye
Hops: Magnum, Centennial, Chinook, Amarillo, Mosaic & Simcoe

Tap at Taphouse Munich. Hazy golden, big golden cream. Sweaty tropical and berry aroma. Light, dry metallic body, mineral/rust, grass, mint/toothpaste. Could be better balanced.

GenkiGonzo (1096) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUL 7, 2016
Draught at Cassidy’s. Golden amber with good lacing. Big tropical aroma. Good bitterness with mango and pine.

On tap at Blackbird, Dublin. Hazy dark amber with an off-white carpet. 4 Big lychee and tangelo nose. 4 Thread of caramel with grapefruit, kumquat, fresh fig, and pine needle hops. 4 Lemon drop end and tingly herbal linger. Almost medium, clingy, some oil. 4 Way sessionable. Citrusy and enough oil for the hopheads but crisp enough for rookies. Far better than a house beer needs to be AND better than most of Trouble’s own entries. 4

beerfest5 (1207) - Cloneen, IRELAND - FEB 26, 2015
Backlog rating from 20/11/14. On draught at P Mac’s. Pours a deep copper with a small white head that’s gone before I have time to pick up the glass. Juicy grapefruit and pine, some tropical fruit, bready malts, sticky aroma...enticing. Flavour is a bit of a let down from the aroma, overly acidic, astringent. Keeps the grapefruit and citrus bitterness, but the sticky sweetness comes through as well, a bit unbalanced. Finish is hop resin bitterness with sugary sweetness that sticks to the teeth.

culchiem (4339) - Berlin, GERMANY - JAN 17, 2015
Draught at Blackbird. Light Amber with a thin head. Aroma is hoppy citrus. Flavour is light pine, bitter citrus, fruity but with a sharp dry bitter finish, almost sour.

sessionable citrussy APA with mdoerate bitterness and medium body. Well balanced malt and hops but lacking in hop flavour to match the bitterness.
