hackobock (4095) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 12, 2014
November 23, 2014. Bottle at home received in a trade. Thanks Beersiveknown!

Hazy dark orange with a medium sized white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, citrus, peach, grass and light soap. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter with light butterscotch notes. Dry, a bit harsh, bitter finish. Light to medium bodied, average carbonation.

thelynchfella (204) - Dublin, IRELAND - AUG 22, 2014
Hazy orange in appearance, with airy/frothy white head. aroma: toast, grass, quite sweet. Quite sweet in flavour too, lots of caramel with a nice bitterness. The bitterness from the hops lingers nicely in the aftertaste. Quite a decent beer

gyllenbock (9977) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 2, 2014
Bottle. (gift from a colleague, thanks Wolff),

Slightly hazy amber/orange with a white head. Sweetish with toffee, grapefruit, malt and fruit. The finish was nicely bitter. A solid one, the best beer from Ireland that I have tried.

Orange pour with a decent white head. Aroma: floral, grass, catty, citrus, caramel, cough drop, mango. Taste: light sweetness, medium bitterness. Palate: lively, bitter, light body. Very nice.

stravale (3145) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - JUL 2, 2014
Bottle from Drinkstore (03/07/14)... Deep orange amber, hazy, frothy white head, some lacing....aroma of caramelised orange, citrus hop, sweet fruity caramel malt background, a touch floral, resinous hops.... taste of bitter orange, big bitter orange zest, sweet fruity caramel malts, dab of toffee, malts are rather heavy, sticky resins, piney, alcohol noticeable, lots of flavour.... palate soft carb, medium to full body, sticky, quite oily, tangy, lots of bitter zest. Finish rich sweet caramel orange malts, sticky very bitter zest tail, a touch astringent .... Overall - Good strong IPA but a bit over stuffed though

Bottle at home from Blackrock. Pours cloudy amber with lasting white foam head. Lovely lacing. Aroma is spruce, pine, grass, citrus. Big caramel malt base, with a nice orange rind bitterness. Lovely balanced IPA. Best I’ve had from an Irish brewers. Lovely.

500mL bottle. Deep amber to almost a maroon color, small to medium off white head, some small lacing. Appetizing but muted aroma of grapefruit, flowers in full bloom, and caramel toffee. First sip had me thinking this was a little too malty for my tastes but when allowed to warm up a bit, the bitterness came out and really packed a punch, the more I had the more I began to love it. Truly one of the best Irish IPA’s so far.

3.8
garthicus (2952) - Dublin, IRELAND - JUN 20, 2014
Bottle from the Drink Store. Odd branding compares to the other trouble beers. Anyhow. Appearance: light orange, medium pure white head. Aroma: over ripe mango, citrus rind, sweet, malty, a lovely floral perfume nose. Flavour: tropical fruits, sticky mouth feel, mango, toasty, caramel, citrus peel, doesn’t taste 7.6% , fantastic long bitter sweet finish. Lovely.

3.4
Beermack (725) - London, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 15, 2014
50cl bottle. Hazy gold orange. Really sweet tangerine on the nose, some floral notes and spice. Sweet stuff continues in the taste, lots of orange, sweet floral notes, little buttery off note, spices. Bitter to finish, pine in there. Not bad, this brewery is taking a positive new approach
