(12oz bottle) Small tan head atop clear cola-black body. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, chocolate, some smoke/roast. Taste is medium sweet, smoke/roast, some bittersweet chocolate. Watery light-medium body with light oaty creaminess. jcwattsrugger (12517) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - MAR 5, 2006
12oz bottle ink stamped on bottom 5315-pours a creamy, light brown head. Color is black with a red tint. Aroma is coffee, hint of oatmeal. Upon drinking, the first impression is a light refreshing sensation, followed by a coffee, oatmeal taste. Comes across as a lighter body & mouthfeel than usual for the category. Nicely done, but not my taste. daknole (11050) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - AUG 15, 2008
bottle, this one I liked. Dark brown pour wtih a beige head. Aroma is chocolate dominated and small hints of coffee. I get a sweet start with some chocolate and dried fruit. Taste is nice, body is a tad watery. Still this one tasted good. MartinT (10037) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 7, 2002
Roasted malt and chocolate smoke…The skeleton of a stout…....... JoeMcPhee (9517) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 4, 2009
Dark brown beer with a thick rocky tan head. The nose is a bit carbonic with a touch of light cocoa on the back. A little bit of fairly cola-esque aroma as well. Thin-bodied without much in the way of complexity. Very watery and a bit herbal. Roasty and fairly astringent on the back. Meh... very poor.

12oz bottle pours a watery, basically opaque deep brown/black with a thin, creamy, beige head. Nose is alright, sweet, malty, apples, cinnamon, smells perhaps a touch infected but not bad. Flavor is malty, cocoa powder, cinnamon, apples, nutmeg, also tastes perhaps a touch infected. Finish is a little watery. If this isn’t infect then it’s not well crafted. 12 oz. bottle. Pours a dark brown with some small beige head with small thin lacing. Nose is roasted malts with hints of bitter chocolate and coffee. Taste is sweet lactose (like too much cream in my coffee) chocolate and malt are present. It taste more like a milk stout, rather then a Oatmeal stout. The oatmeal is not found in the nose or taste. Don’t let this warm up, it gets more watery. Nothing to seek out. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - AUG 18, 2003
Pours a thin dark black with a thick lightly lacing tan head. Rich milk chocolate oatmeal aroma with coffee undertones. Body starts thin and dull with a light mix of sweet and sour but has a pleasant long lasting chocolatey grainy finish. A novel idea for a beer, but it could've been done better. mansquito (6797) - Nueva York, New York, USA - DEC 26, 2011
Three Tomatoes, Burlington, VT 12oz ($4): Pours a dark brown with a light head. Aroma is mostly of weak chocolate. Taste is kind of watery, slightly sweet, and mild chocolate. Body was not too my liking, nor was the taste. I could easily live without this. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 25, 2005
When I poured this out from the 12 oz bottle, the first thing I thought to myself as I smelled this beer is "wow, they’re really trying." The key here is trying. Way too watery and thin to ever be taken seriously as a true stout. The flavor is not bad, but very strong with hints of coffee. So strong, in fact that I have to wonder if the brewer first brewed a batch of coffee and dumped it in for laughs.
