Active body, hazy light amber color, massive, fizzy white head. Fair lacing. Aroma is of cloves and bananas. Initial taste is moderately sweet, moving to a light sweet finish. Body is light with a watery texture, soft carbonation. We’ll be swimming up river away from this one if it comes our way again.

12 oz bottle. Hazy, unfiltered, thich white head. Sweet fruity hop aroma, pine, cedar, light leathery character as well. A bit infected. Honey and lemon citrus as well. Falvour is also slightly infected, honey, leather, orange. Light Bretty character. Cologne, orange peel and a dry finish. I don’t know if the infection is intended, but sometimes an infection can be tasty... this is one of those times. jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - FEB 7, 2006
12oz bottle ink stamped on bottom 5315-pours an offwhite head with hazy copper-yellow. Aroma is more grain than hops. Taste is sweet, grassy, malt. Mild carbonation.

Light golden brown with a medium white head. Grassy hops and sour funk in the aroma. Bland flavor, mild hops, grainy cereal-like malts. Very watery and boring beer. Don’t waste your time. Sregnar35 (1030) - Rotterdam, New York, USA - OCT 20, 2005
Lame beer, this brewer is either stupid or afraid. Get some balls and don’t try to appease the masses, you heartless son of a bee-sting.

Has a good amber color that entices you into drininking it, and then rewards you with nothing more than a slightly more flavorful beer than coors lite. MaiBockAddict (1497) - Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA - SEP 5, 2005
If I were a trout, I would be insulted. Beer # 5 at the MSBF. 1/2 pint. Hazy yellow, white head. Malty fruity aroma, but skightly amiss, and I couldn’t figure out what. Thin malty flavor with light sharp hops. Very dry finsh. Just not right. Walt (2449) - Austin, Texas, USA - SEP 2, 2005
Pour is amber with thin tan head...smell is almost non-existant...maybe there is some floral going on, bu not a lot...taste is bland, with a lot of sweetness and doughy malt flavor...where are the hops? look out drain...here comes the trout and I’m hoppin’ mad... I would have liked to have what the other reviewers seem to have gotten. Mine was skunked, although I bought it in New Hampshire so the problem should not have been shipping. However, this is the 2nd iffy bottle I have opened this week from the box I brought home with me, out of 3, so I need to think about this. Poured a wonderful cloudy amber with a huge tan head ... I thought this was going to be wonderful. Nose more skunky than anything else, no hops, little malt. I thought this was going to be awful. Taste is sour sour sour with a long skunky finish, no malt, little hops, no reason to think IPA. Actually, no reason to think anything but lambic. Mouth is thin and watery. With more hops it might have survived. Definitely unpleasant, defnitely drain pour. OlivierMTL (709) - Quebec, CANADA - JUL 31, 2005
