Bottle at Highland Lodge. Hazy amber color, scant white head. Subtle caramel aroma. Taste is malty caramel with a moderately bitter finish. Plain.

A fine red ale here. Had a pint at Sweetwater in Burlington. Pours a charming light, ruby and slightly hazy hue with very little head. Taste is nicely balanced between the hops and malts. Would make a lovely session beer.

Amber red ale with a fungal soil aroma. Smooth malts with very little hops detected, some nuts and diacetyl. Oily mouthfeel. So-so beer. On tap at American Flatbread, Burlington VT.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with jjpm74 (thanks!). Poured a dark and cloudy redi/amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, light caramel, and I’m getting faint banana. Tastes of citrus, nuts, and toasted malts. Tastes were like the body, on the thin and watery side.

12oz bottle ink stamped on bottom 5315-pours a creamy light tan head with orangy-amber color. Aroma is smokey, dark malt. Taste is sweet, caramel, lots of dark malt.

Not really that good. Brown pour and a very small head. Aroma is pretty malty and not all that bad. But the flavor has some malt mixed with a funky sour finish...it almost tastes skunked. Not my style at all.

Tap at Strange Brew in Manchester. Clear rich reddish pour with a white head. Nice fruity element with some nuttiness. Good.

Horrid visions of a stale beer world…No taste aside from overcooked fruit and oily nuts…Nightmarish…
