3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours cloudy amber with slight fruit hints taste is clean moderate hop flavor and no resistance on the palate rated well overall for drink ability
Where: A gift enjoyed at a tasting event, thanks Maxbier and dlovell2 and Steve.
How: Big can.
Appearance is hazy and burnt orange in color, decent off white head. Aroma is sweet malt, nutty. Taste is more sweet malt than nutty from start to finish, pretty plain. Palate is medium bodied; moderate carbonation. Hand delivered from VT by dlovell2, appreciated! hellonearth (153) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 31, 2017
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2017 Une belle ambrée au petit col. Nez de noix, de caramel. Au goût, c’est plutôt mince. Un peu de caramel brûlé, des noix rôties et du malt. Assez courte en bouche. Mini amertume. Finale un peu métallique... pas vargeux. Goûte vraiment comme ma ale maison semi-réussie. Maxbier (999) - Maryland, USA - AUG 8, 2016
Hand delivered from VT. Super foamy pour. Copper color. Fruity malty aroma. Taste is malty and spices yeast. Some hints of grassy hop. Reminds me of a decent bottle fermented home brew. Thanks dlovell2 for sharing.

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2016 Poured from 16 oz can. Pours cloudy amber with an off white head. Fruity, malty aroma with herbal hops. Flavor is caramel malt with nutty malt and fruity notes. Dry, biscuity finish with herbal spiciness. Glad to try this brew from my hometown. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - MAY 5, 2016
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a dark hazy burnt orange/amber color with a thin white foamy head that quickly dissipated. Messy lacing.
The smell had the biscuit sweet / bready malts up front with a subtle crisp clean toffee/caramel maltiness. Light nuttiness.
The taste had the same sweet flavor of the previously mentioned items. Semi-dry nutty aftertaste. Full dry nutty finish.
On the palate, this one was about a light to medium in body with a nice sessionable smooth dry feel about it.
Overall, in my opinion, this was a nice amber ale. New brewery is in Springfield, VT.

Had in Vermont. Cloudy caramel-brown colour with a beige creamy head and nice lacing. Big caramel nose with a little sourness. This shows more in the taste. Probably infected and diacetyl aromas. Not a fan of this one. Braudog (6793) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - OCT 13, 2014
Bottle. Ruddy, dark reddish brown with an initially nice top. Musty aroma rife with caramel malt. Drinks with a muddy, heavy toffee note, and throw in some roasted nuts. (#5827, 10/14/2014) bursprak (3238) - Aarhus, DENMARK - AUG 16, 2014
Bottle from recent Secret Santa. Pours murky amber with some head. Nose and taste has some orange, malty sweetness and some weird bitterness. Not that good... AdamChandler (5113) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 19, 2014
Dark red murky. Nose is weak and chestnuts. Taste is mediocre some cherry and oak and roaster rye and weak malt backbone nimbleprop (8601) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUN 21, 2014
Full disclosure, I had two 12oz bottles and they were fairly different. One 12oz bottle was a standard amber ale, malt on the nose, some caramel too, a little orange. Flavor was the same, very standard, some fall fruit, some caramel, malt, orange. Dry finish. The second bottle was clearly infected, vinegar on the nose, red grape, some stale malt, some dried citrus peel. Flavor has a shot of vinegar, some light butyric acid, stale malt, apple cider. What I assume is the uninfected beer was fine, not great. The infection is worrisome though.
