Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Loads of beers shared with ChrisO and Harrisoni - Cheers! Clear dark brown beer, residual white head. Light malt - ephemeral almost. A whisper of hop fruit. Apologetic beer!

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 2, 2010

Gravity dispense at the 23rd Battersea Beer Festival - 06/02/13. Dark mahogony brown with a thin beige head that lingers only as a film and a pocket of bubbles. Nose is roast malt, toffee, light coffee notes, molasses. Taste follows, roast malt, brown sugars, dark toffee, light mocha-choco tones. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation leading to a dryish finish. A most enjoyable mild!

Cask (Peterborough Beer Festival 2004) Dark brown, little head. Quite hoppy for a mild, sweet spicy hops augment the sweet roasted malts ion both the aroma and the taste. Hints of dark fruits too. Competent mild, very tasty.

Scopey (15725) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 20, 2011
Bottle from Deeside Drink Emporium, Banchory. It pours deep ruby, with a big-off white head. The nose is vinous, dark fruit, dark chocolate and caramel. The taste is wood, roasted malt, aniseed dark fruit and some port, with a dry finish. Thin to moderate body and soft carbonation. Not bad.
