McNeillR (2315) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 2, 2013
Simple citrus notes, pale golden yellow body, watery but steady head. Clean biscuit malt noteable before some very session-able springs of hop including a slightly weedy mouthfeel flipped by a clean, simple linger.

This is never going to be a world beater, but a consistently recommendable effort on cask as a few I turned off the Cobra and co. premium lagers that night found.
Cask, The Bailie, Edinburgh

stravale (3065) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - OCT 15, 2012
Cask @ Golden Rule, Polwarth 111012
Light golden, clear, dense white head with some lacing
Very light aroma - pale malts, hint of citrus
Taste - soft pale malts, citrus hops, touch of bitter zest, lemon, very light grapefruit, touch of bitter cereal
Palate - soft carb, bit oily. Finish - soft light zesty hop with a bitter linger
Overall - OK standard golden ale

Cask. Pale golden with a thin white head. Subdued nondescript aroma with a little malt and and some dusty, light citrusy hops. Taste is watery and thin, light sweet with an unpleasant metallic, grassy bitter finish. Flat mouthfeel. Inoffensive.

Bottle courtesy of my dad consumed with dad 14th Dec 2011 Pours golden with a white head. There is a mouldering overipeness that you notice from clementines and satsumas that have been sat in the fruit basket to long. Nice biting bitterness and furry across the tongue. pleasant beer.
