Cask 1/3 pint, gravity dispense, at the 16th Twickenham Beer & Cider Festival, as Tryst Carronade (not called an IPA, not on the brewery website either). Golden colour, white head. Moderate fruity aroma, notes of tropical fruits. Medium dry flavour, still with noticeable "tropical fruits" hops. Moderately bitter finish.

August 2016 - Cask handpull at GBBF 2016, as ’Tryst Carronade IPA’. Golden yellow, translucent, still, foamy off-white head. Aroma is orange pith, lemon and grapefruit, sugary. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is thin malts, straw, grapefruit, musty finish, some lemon. Good. (3.5)

Benzai (16701) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 17, 2016
Sampled @ GBBF Day 2. Clear golden color, small off-white to beige head. Smell and taste some malts, lightly some tropical fruit hops, after a while though a bit more of those hops pop up and it is actually quite pleasant. Decent body and carbonation. Another quite nice UK beer! Lovely.

Gbbf. Klares goldenes Bier. Geruch schwach hopfig, grasig, helles malz. Geschmack nach hellem malz, leicht zitronig, langweilig.

nihtila (3913) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 13, 2015

Maker: Tryst, Larbert, Scotland *** Beer: Tryst Carronade IPA (cask, at Platform 3, Linlithgow) *** Style: American IPA *** ALC.VOL.: 4.% *** "Packed full of citrus flavours from the distinctive Washington hops used, combined with pale malt and Carron valley water." (brewery note) *** Colour: Yellow golden clear, small creamy off-white head. *** Nose: Sour lemon and barley. *** Texture: Medium body, lightly creamy, soft carbonation. *** Taste: Creamy lemon, some barley malt, but mostly lemon. Some floral notes in the middle, accompanying the citrus. Soft malty background. Hoppy bitterness increases in the finale. Moderate aftertaste of hops and lemon. *** Impressions: Light, well hopped, citrusy pale ale (most certainly no American pale ale). Refreshing, but not really distinguished. Blame it on the low ABV.

ManVsBeer (10954) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 27, 2015
Clitheroe Beer Festival 2015. Hazy yellow-blonde. Has a hopped lemony aroma and taste behind a dominant bitterness.

witthatsbier (584) - glasgow, SCOTLAND - MAR 16, 2015
Cask @ Blackfriars Glasgow very bitter but not in a nice way no balance, just a very average to poor beer

androman (2807) - Maarssen, NETHERLANDS - FEB 28, 2015
Shared bottle @ home from Nina’s Minimarket, Edinburgh. Body is hazy orange, head is small white mostly lasting good lacing. Nose is apple, aroma is lemon peel, citrus, grass. Medium sweet medium bitter. Finish is long lasting hoppy bitter, fruity sidetaste. Medium to full body, thin texture, lively carbonation. Easy refreshing good hoppy beer.
