bottle, provided by Cavie, clear thin yellow color with strong skunked aroma, flavor is a little better with some sweet Karo

At the Backstabber’s tasting, 5%. Pours yellow with no head, aroma of fruits, grain, caramel, flavor of corn, malt, light bodied

Straw color with an ultra white foamy head of bubbles. LIght toasted white bread aromas with whiffs of herb, somewhat minty. Quite sweet with a light caramel start followed by some light metallic parts and a hint of not quite ripe raspberries. Really does seem to need some food pairing. Certainly not a stand alone brew.

Bottle 33cl, A clear yellow beer with medium head. Nose is typical lager like, aroma is very low, low hops, low malt, very boring, nice label but nothing more except poor wet paper on aftertaste.

(330ml bottle thanks to the ever-reliable pale lager provider, Fratto) clear pale yellow with soapy white bubbles. Nose is stinky, skunky, and some toasty grain. Taste of old grain, paper, skunky, and just bad. Grainy linger.

The beer pours a light clear yellow color with a white head. The aroma is exactly what I expected from an imported beer in a green bottle: skunked grain and nothing else. I am holding it against the brewer in my rating since it was their choice to use a green bottle. The flavor has some light skunk notes as well as some grass and grain. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

This looks like most of the BMC fizzy yellow brews, pale yellow with a smallish head. After the initial skunk wafts away, there’s a very light sweet malt aroma. No hops. (No lead either, I hope.) Light and highly carbonated, it has a damp bread flavor with a mild sugary sweetness and a soft bitterness that turns somewhat sour in the finish. Once was enough.

How can it be pure draft out of a bottle? Dark gold body with a bright white head. The nose is slightly skunky with lots of corn and husky grain notes. The taste is very light with corn and bread crust. There is also some almond shell and club soda in the finish. A decent light brew.

Appearance: Pours a clear, pale yellow body with a small, white head. Smell: Fresh, clean rice aroma with a waft of water-soaked grasses. Taste: Not much to go on here, folks. Some puffed rice, some clean water, a medium sweetness, and a very slight grassy hop character. Clean, sudden finish. Just like life, it’s over before you know it. Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Again, there’s not alot going on here. It’s okay, perhaps, if you’re looking for something tremendously light, but then the optimal choice would be: water.

Cavie (4775) - Arlington, Texas, USA - APR 2, 2011
Bottle from Gabriels in San Antonio via Fratto. Clear straw yellow color. White bubbly head. Huge skunk odor with tainted grain and grossness. Flavor is soured grains, water and metal. Gross.
