296 ml clear bottle bought at CitySuper in Habour City, Tsim Sha Tsui.
Clear pale golden colour; Less than one-quarter finger head and residual soapy white foam which fades in 10 seconds; Fair sticky lacing with notable small carbonation; Pungent smell of malt, with strong corn, rice, floral, sugar, soggy bread, lemon and smelly grass; Close to medium sweet taste of moderate malt, with corn, floral, light sugar, light bread, pretty strong lemon, moderate bitter hops and grass; Light body. Fairly slick palate; Mouth feel is better than moderate malt - obviously richer than most watery Asian macros - in a pretty slick background. Carbo-ish and throughout, with strong corn taste but without that customary rice adjuncts. Notable sugar sweetness but not all too offensive. Flowery with notable lemon to round. Not bad for a macro… Hoppiness is floral, lemon and smelly grass in nose, and a lot stronger in taste; Bitterness is notable for a lasting, mid astringent sweet malty finish; Slighty dry after taste. Sweet and fairly bitter to mouth.
Comments: This one has been sitting around forever and finally I muster up enough courage to try it. Turns out it is not as bad as I feared: it’s much in the same mold as the Tsingtao Augerta 1903, but it has no rice taste, less sweeter (still sweet), and with much more lemony hoppy presence. Best of all, it was saved from light-struck with a clear bottle. Not top staff for sure, but a drinkable Asian macro. For Tsingtao, that’s quite an achievement, to be honest.

bottle bought from 7/11 in HK. pale gold appearance. aroma is corn and grassy malts. taste is corn and slightly metallic. not as drinkable as regular tsingtao.
Milter (960) - Nyborg, DENMARK - AUG 5, 2015

Bottle in Hongkong. Smooth neutral taste. Hints of malt, fresh, but not too deep. Easy to drink, fresh, grainy with no bitterness. Neutral and boring.
