330 ml can bought at Snack Wordenland on Kau Yuk Road, Yuen Long.
Piss pale golden yellow colour; Razor thin head and residual soapy white foam which fades in 15 seconds; Poor sticky lacing and very slight carbonation;
Pungent smell of malt, with rice, wet cardboard, metal, floral, sugar, light lemon and grass; Light sweet taste of light malt, with strong rice, wet cardboard, chalk, light floral, sugar, light lemon and light grassy bitter hops; Light body, watery palate; Mouth feel is very light maltyness, very watery full of rice, wet cardboard and chalky in abundance; Sugar sweetness ended with very light lemon. Bad!... Hoppiness light lemon and thin grass in nose and taste. Bitterness is very light for an abrupt, minimal astringent sweet water non finish; Wet after taste. Sweet and easy to mouth.
Comments: No matter where Tsingtao is made, it is basically bad and this Shenzhen version is no different. Lightweight, ricey with mouthful of off-taste, sweet and virtually no hops to speak of. Utter crap!
it tastes as light as water beer,very little heading at the beginning,not a traditional tsingtao beer Beersiveknown (5302) - NORTHERN IRELAND - MAY 6, 2014

Can. I first had this on a bus on the way back from a factory in Shenzhen. I was thirsty and I appreciate how the beer has water in it. Other than that it has a very mild flavor that tastes of corn, metal and bitter. After taking several gulps to quench my thirst I had to make a decision of whether I gulp it down and toss the can or just ditch it. Either way I wasn’t going to finish this awful beer.

Not the Shenzhen version, but the Qingdao version. Straw colour, light, jasmine-like note in the aroma. Fairly neutral flavour profile struggles to make any impact at all on my palate. omhper (25750) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAY 8, 2004
