UPDATED: JAN 24, 2013 Bottle gift from the brewery. Pours nice and dark with brown/tan head. Aroma of heavily roasted malts that carries over to the flavor. A bit one dimensional in the flavor but surprisingly better when compared to their other products.

Canned. Thx anonymous Black with a brief, beige head. Light, roasted aroma and flavour with notes of chocolate. Rather sweet with prune.

vinivini (2850) - Gomel, BELARUS - OCT 3, 2017
Bottle. Opaque deep brown to black. Well-lacing beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, caramel, coffee. Medium body. Lively carbonation. Taste: roast, coffee. A hint of molasses. Rather dry. Light bitterness. Surprisingly good.

Bottle. 6.7% 18 P. Bought from RT Mart in Shanghai. So glad to see the foreign/export stout after drinking gobs of the lighter regular stout all spring. Good pour with deep beige head, quite bubbly, transparent deep brown. Nose is light cocoa with a bit of fruitiness, pretty simple. Good body, although not as full as an English-style stout, after all this was started as a German brewery- deep flavors - not anticipating this by the nose or appearance - good thick, nearly viscous palate. Full of dark malt syrupy (truly syrup-like really) that have a treacle and sherry character with just a little mustiness. Long palate, starts with a touch of cream and vanilla, middle is sweet and little ends with a little bit of bitterness and some heat. Lots to this beer, nice sipper, nice foreign stout that even heads a bit towards doppelbock or old ale territory.

Bottle in Seattle. Thanks to my brother for bringing it back from Qingdao itself. Foamy head, quite dark red-brown body. Odd beer, frankly. Round fruity sweetness in the middle of this, with some bitter cocoa at finish. Cardboard mouthfeel, a little watery. Not terrible but nothing too redeeming about this.

355 mL bottle poured. Much thanks to Matt for the continuous obscure shares. Green bottle stouts. What can go wrong?!? Pours a near black, with a creamy tan head. Odd toasty aroma. Light, roasted flavor, but really odd, and a strange cream constant. I don’t know if I can call it bad, but strange seems to fit just right. Not like any other stout I’ve tried, but not necessarily unlike any beer I’ve tried. Lingering off flavor. It’s better than I expected it to be.

the aroma is caramel and fruity with hints of cocoa, toffee, vanilla, brown sugar and milk chocolate... the taste is caramel and chocolate with notes of toffee, cocoa, roasted malt, robust and vanilla... sweet and dry aftertaste...

invinoveritas (156) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - DEC 18, 2016
Pours the colour of cola with a reminiscent head. Heady Christmas pudding on the nose with malty, fruity rye bitterness and stewed raisins and stamp glue on the tongue. Jumbled, but in a good way.

I bought this beer at Beijing, I drank it relax, in my hotel, in Ningbo. In my opinion,, it is a regular stout, nit bad, because it is coming from a macrobrewery. The body is black and strong, white and thin foam. At the nose, the smell is roasted malt. At the tongue, the taste is roasted malt but it is sweet, toffee and one side bitter, hop, well balances. The final note is sweet, cacao.

Supermarket bottle in HI. Dark clear brown color, brown coca cola head. Aroma of earthy cocoa. Taste has swet cocoa. OK.

gyllenbock (9713) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 30, 2015
Bottle from a 7 Eleven in Hong Kong. Clear dark brown with a small head. Aroma and taste of light roasted malt, coffee and caramel. The finish was on the sweet side and quite dry.
