COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesnt match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

Bottled. Best I can say about this is it lets me paste a "China" stamp in my album of country statistics. Big foamy head at pour that hangs around too long. Pale straw color, and generic "beer" smell. Hard to get a good sip out from under the hunka foam. Taste makes me yearn for the more complex flavor profile of a Budweiser. After some effort, I can taste a little malt sweetness and a slightly bitter aftertaste. To paraphrase the old stereotype, it takes much less than an hour again for me to be thirsty... for a real beer. Again, it doesn't taste bad per se, just has no taste at all.

A lot of craft beers on the market in Australia that taste like crap. If you like Carlton Draught from tap and the rebrew of VB back to the original and you are in China, this is the beer to get. @24hrs a day available in subway vending machine and seven elevens around China at 60c a can, absolutely awesome and in heaven

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Pours a very pale clear yellow color with a short-lived white head. Aroma of grains and skunk. Taste is corn, skunk, chemicals. Im more than a little skeptical of the "purity of its water" statement in the description...

Aroma: dry and ricey; kind of sour; Appearance: clear yellow pour with no carbonation; Taste: follows nose but not too sweet; could be worse; Palate: light bodied with short finish; Overall: enough to get a China tick I suppose.

Not very intensive aroma of malts with noticeable rice. Small completely disappearing head. Light golden body, with white floating flakes. Pleasant bitterness in taste with appropriate carbonation, not too sweet.

Well... Clearly not a great drink. Obvious but so boring, even for a soft beer. On par with Heineken, refreshing if served cold but definitely not something you want to drink to enjoy a good moment. Wheat taste, simple, badly brewed... Theres really not much to say about it. PARTIALLY APPROVED BY TAVERNYS BLACK METAL CREW!

Bottle from Comarket. 4.7%. BB 01.09.2017. Pours pale golden, clear, with rather persistent off-white head. Fairly pleasant grainy aroma with a kind of fakeish sweet juicy aspect and a hint of grassy hops. Watery grainy flavour with what seems like artificial sweetener. Watery on the palate, moderately crisp carbonation. Not a horror to be honest but still quite irritable. Thought it would be much worse, hence my rather positive score.

Bottle. Pale Yellow. Quite hoppy aroma. Grainy malts, cereal, corn. Slight citrusy hops. Sweet malty. Light, mild, pleasant enough lager. Drinkable. (2008)
