Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesn’t match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

12 oz bottle. Pours a very light and clear straw color. Aroma of grain. Flavor is grain, soap, dough. Not horrible, but is bleh. I’ll drink it at a Chinese restaurant or if ever in China.

You've gotta love this beer. I first tasted the unique flavour in Hong Kong. It has a really refreshing flavour and it just makes you want to have another!!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle and pint glass. Pours with a decent head, although it subsides quickly. Not a lot of carbonation here. The colour is clear and pleasant, light gold in tone. Aroma is very strong, almost offensively so, though it sort of adds to Tsingtao’s charm (?). Specifically speaking, it’s quite earthy and yeasty on the nose. The taste is refreshing and light, but definitely on the bitter side of the line. A slightly salty burn at the end. Quite a viscous palate, with not much in the way of fizz. Would highly recommend Tsingtao if you’re looking for a cheap, refreshing Asian lager. A must have when travelling in mainland China or HK. After all, when in Rome...

Fles, veelal in restaurant, maar ook uit de winkel. Wat mager, waterig biertje. Bitterheid is slechts vaag aanwezig. Leuk, maar niet bijster.

Quite a potent aroma. Grain and adjuncts. Pours pale golden with a tiny white head. Taste is malty and crisp. No real bitterness.

Clear and very pale golden with medium white head; aroma is very sweet malty with herbal notes; taste is very sweet malty, slightly grainy and hardly hoppy nor bitter; texture is slightly sticky with medium to high carbonation

Purchased this Premium Lager from Merchants. For the book. Aroma is skunky, earthy, corn, metallic. Appearance is golden amber, off white head, mostly clear. Taste is sweet, corn, metallic, bland, light hops, surprising to say it isn’t skunked. Mouthfeel is light body, light crisp carbonation, light sweet corn and earthy hop aftertaste. Overall, not sure how this classifies as premium but anyway. Take away the fake sweetness and at the very least, it’s refreshing on this 90 degree day.

Jasne słodkie. Słodowe bez wyrazu, bez goryczki. Bardzo delikatne piwo średnio nasycone

Pretty good standard lager if you’re in Asia. Not expensive to buy and is refreshing on a hot, humid day. Tastes good, but the head dissolves quickly.

Bottle in one of restaurants in Manchester’s China Town. No head, lightly yellow/golden colour, clear. Aroma of skunk and wet cardboard. Lightly bitter taste, light body, lively. Lacks of any significant taste, however it is nicely refreshing.
