Christmas present from the wife and could be my new favourite beer despite high price ! Lovely crisp but ever so hoppy taste and oh that bottle is a work of art! youngcaptain (7) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 18, 2010 does not count
I love hops so was easily seduced by this one. Pours dark copper with a huge piney citrus aroma that punches you in the nose straight away.
Good start !! First sip BOOM a mouthful of spicy resiny hop flavours followed by a long sustained bitterness... my kinda beer bullturtle (3) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 30, 2015 does not count
An APA that gives an amazing fruity hop taste that is amazing. Great beer from a great brewery.

500ml bottle split with JK. Clean and strong citrus aroma, cloudy in the glass that never settled, relatively soft carbonation with a kick of bitter hops though not as pronounced as others. My favourite all-round beer at the moment with the most perfect palate I can imagine. Opened this as Ireland kicked off against Australia in the RWC and enjoyed it as Ireland proceeded with their demolition job. This may be a good reason behind the high score for the beer. alectron (30) - - JUN 16, 2012
Loving this, more multi-dimensional fruit than the following Aotearoa Pale Ale and slightly less bitter, not very malty, but makes up with pine & skunk aromas.

I'm biased. I love this beer. Pours Amber gold. Heaps of hop aroma and a pillowy head. Great hoppy taste over sweet malt. Well balanced to my mind. Lovely lace on the glass. Currently my first choice beer. jonnyguns (1105) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 2, 2013
Bottle from liquor barons Carlisle. Pours a dark golden with a quickly fading white head. Nose is a grapefruit and citrus hop bomb!!! Toffee hints in there as well to add sweetness. Dry grapefruit hop bitterness dominates the taste. More citrus and toffee malts coming through. Just has that fresh new zealand hop presence shines through beautifully. Soft carbonation makes for a nice mouthfeel. Very easy to drink. This is a massive pale ale truly hop head heaven very good stuff!!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone olsentribe8 (17) - Napier, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 11, 2014

My favourite Hoppy beer in NZ at the moment. Crisp, clean and a ton of hop aroma and flavour without the huge bitterness so common in this style(although there is plenty of bitterness in there).
