4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Really enjoyable stout. Like a milk shake but malty, molasses, coffee, and slight, chocolate. Poor is a great pitch black with a off brown head
Pours an oily, thin black from the bottle. Medium brown head, nice lacing around the glass. Aromas of heavy roasted malt, I get some alcohol/bourbon, perhaps dark coffee and toffee. Nice mouthfeel, but a quick, sharp defined finish. Slightly heavy. Solid brew. ALLOVATE (3063) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 17, 2014
Cap bursts of with vigour. A gaseous emission of bonfire wafts forth. At cellar temperature and into a shallow chalice. Inky black with a fine, tight bead. Good legs, but good lace too; the head a messy, sloppy tannish pad that holds. Aroma is husky, of charred wood, ash and soot with dusty, roasted cacao and carob, wood and earth. Quite a rich, peppery, spicy and sweet blend on the palate. Good body, light in carbonation with a lean smoothness to the finish. Well rounded and penetrating with a dominant cola flavour underlying chocolaty malts, wood and ash. Bitter, malty back-end with plenty of peppery spice. Dry finish, drops off a little too quickly. Overall a pleasing Stout, easily sessionable even at 7.0% ABV. Not complex, but just a tasty and honest brew! Looks imposing, dark rhick black with tan head but has pretty mild taste and nose. Roasted malt, toffee aroma, but not as powerful as it could be. Burnt/roasted malt taste with notes of coffee. I’m loving the warmth of the alcohol on a chilly night. Not very bold but enjoyable nonetheless jonnyguns (1105) - AUSTRALIA - FEB 9, 2014
Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a very dark brown with inch high thick, fluffy head. Nose shows light coffee, some mocha and a slight burntness. Taste has espresso coffee and a smokey, almost burnt ash flavour to it. Light mouthfeel and actually quite thin, although it says on the bottle it's a light stout. Not bad for something different

Pitch red-black with a fluffy big tan head and good legs. Smells strongly
of roasted malts (somewhat burnt), bitterness, little bit of raisin. Aroma is less big than what you'd expect given the appearance; the taste even more so. Flavour is very burnt without much else. Body is very thin, which is probably the most disappointing thing about this beer. If this had a bit more
flavour and a lot more hops it would make a nice black IPA. Not bad but a little too thin. Very cool bottle though!

Guinness-esqe - light bodied - not opulent or creamy which is a pity - pleasant enough but a bit forgettable - why acknowledge the world is heaving with exotic stouts then make a dull one? Nice bottle though. hawthorne00 (4109) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - OCT 28, 2013
Bottle. Black with an inch of tan head that settles to a cm. Aroma of treacle, mocha, passionfruit, red berries. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Not as sweet as suggested by the aroma. Light roasted coffee, berries, firm bitterness, a little ashy. gam (4073) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - OCT 4, 2013

500mL bottle. Pours thick black with a mocha crown and a nice molasses/coffee aroma. More espresso coffee in the flavour with ashy notes and a slight hints of citrus hop.
