Probably my favourite beer atm. It is a seriously impressive beer. The 3D is gimicky, but very cool. The head is not great visually, but the aroma is superb. Rich fruity smell, very complex palate and a long dry finish. Note, it’s 9%, you don’t want more than two! beerwattitude (1) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 24, 2014 does not count
Great beer, for those of us for whom hoppiness is next to Godliness. Perfect amount of hops (a lot!), but still retains full flavour, and does not over power the palate, but instead leaves a delicate lingering hoppiness that has you wanting more marom92 (47) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - FEB 15, 2014
650ml Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange colour with a tint of gold. Reasonable head, well laced. Aromas of pine and sweet malts with notes of citrus and hints of passion fruit. Initial flavour is smooth caramel with a malty character, and already bitter. Bitterness is very well balanced and it moves into a stronger citrus flavour. Finish is bitter malty, pine flavour, Very warming and smooth, leaves a wonderful malty bitterness in the mouth. Lightly carbonated with an excellent balance between caramel malts and an aggressive hopping. Awesome beer!! olsentribe8 (17) - Napier, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 10, 2014
This beer is crazy, it’s like two drinks in one. the initial taste versus what rests on your palate a second or two later is black versus white. Amazing job Tuatara, an inspiration to any home brewer who is after something special. Beerwithwings (94) - Hampshire, ENGLAND - FEB 16, 2017
A very good dipa. You don’t realise you are drinking a 9% beer. Gorgeous hop flavours and it’s in a 500ml bottle. Well worth the price tag

This is a fantastic beer: full bodied, good flavour, nice bitterness and amazing oily mouthfeel. This is an absolute must for hop heads! davidm (2080) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - MAY 4, 2013
Bottle from Slowbeer. Great hoppy beer, never-ending flavour. Aromas of grass, flowers, liquorice. Taste is mostly bitter, long length. Palate is syrupy, full bodied. Amber, with a frothy head. Menofthesea (4) - - FEB 3, 2014 does not count
Full hop blast on the nose when pouring this one. Comes out a clear light copper color. Smells delicious, Big citra-hop aromas. First sip: whoa. Huge hops, big flavors of grapefruit and citrus, but balanced with a bit of malty sweetness. I've had much lower ibu beers that were much more abrasive than this. The bitterness is there, and strong, but somehow not overwhelming.
Overall I'm really impressed with this one. Quite delicious.

Here we go with a Kiwi wonder! Slightly hazy golden, cream medium head. Nose is sweet malts and hops. This beer has lots of hops. Loads. And they merge wonderfully with a malty and (tropical) fruity taste. Make you ask for more. Glad it came in a 500ml bottle!
