Opaque colour, good steady brownish head and lace. Aroma has coffee, rye bread and toasted, almost burned notes. Full-bodied. Roasted, a bit burned malty with dark coffee and chocolate. Alcohol picks up in the aftertaste. Quite heavy, roasted impy for cold winter evenings. A bit too burned to be world class for my liking.
A black beer, a head is quite big and beautiful, dense, creamy and brown. Aroma has smooth salt liquorice, dark and dried fruits, some chocolate and strenght of alcohol. Powerful. Taste has salt liquorice, sweetness of malts, dry roastiness and coffee, also bitterness, hint of dried fruitness. Full bodied, not stickyness, creamy and smooth. Great salt liquorice, smooth and enjoyable, strenght and so easily to enjoy. minihame2 (759) - Oulu, FINLAND - AUG 11, 2017

, from Alko Stockmann, Tampere, Finland. Quite nice balance of roasted and licorice flavors, while going bit to the licorice side. Roasted malts, licorice, some dark fruits. Averagely balanced. Medium taste spectrum and long aftertaste with roasted malts. Strong/medium body with medium/low carbonation. Overall, bold but too simple for the style and percentage.
(Bottle, 0.5 l - bottled on 14 August 2015, at One Pint Pub, 20170715) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had liquorice, dark chocolate, burnt malts and sweetness. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, liquorice, dark chocolate, sweetness, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A tasty balanced imperial stout that hid its rather high ABV very well. GuideDogSaint (1767) - Xiamen, CHINA - JUN 11, 2017
Sample from a 500ml bottle at True Bearing Alehouse, Xiamen. Pours black with a thin reddish brown head. Aroma of roast malt and chocolate. Some black treacle taste with tobacco. Dryish bitter finish. hawthorne00 (4144) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUN 4, 2017
Bottle. Black with a large tan head that slowly settles to an inch. Aroma is assertive and maybe slightly solventy with grapefruit, gooseberries and pine over heavy roast and brioche. 8- Silky, lowish carbonation. Just luxuriantly mouthfilling with everything having a place and nothing crowding anything else. In addition to what’s in the aroma there’s a sweet Indian spiced (cardamon) and milky mocha running underneath. The aroma could settle a little more over the next year or so but it’s superb now, with more depth than I thought Tuatara could garner. Kavu (5155) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 4, 2017
