Can. Dark red, almost no head. Light malty aroma, a little taste of caramel/sugar, some bitterness to finish it, but really boring.

Curtesy of Yngwie. It’s dark copper with a creamy head and notes ofcandy sugar, rotting fruit and baking yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, candy sugar, nuts and thankfully better than the aroma. The finish is slightly dry.

Can at home, not all that enjoyment
Dark copper, big tanned head. Smells of caramel and malts. Body is medium malty with a bit too much sweetness, soon accompanied by some metallic aftertaste.... not nice. Not much bitterness to call home about eigther

Amber colour, off-white head. Aroma and taste is mostly malts, hardly any bitterness. Not bad, but not very interesting either. (Can)

Tall can in Oslo. Brown body with short head. Nose of malts and sweet. Taste is roasty and a bit sour. Overall okay but doesn’t stand out. Merry Christmas.

Clear, color copper/brown. Quite light, a lot of sweetness, with not quite enough bitterness to balance it. Caramel. Not that bad, smooth, but not spectacular.

Medium brown body, short-lived head, some lacing. Malty sweet aroma with some sour notes. Medium minus sweetness and an unpleasant grainy Tuborgish sourness. Lightly roasted flavours, some fruitiness and a pinch of metal. Not as watery as other christmas beers, but still the worst I’ve had so far this year.
[50 cl can, from Kiwi Valle, Oslo]

Juleĝl 2011. Good looking off white head. Quite creamy. The body is dark amber. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar, bread and a hint of licorice. The metallic aroma is a turn off though, and makes me wonder if it had been better in a bottle? Sweet taste. I think this edition is better than last years.

Can. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Short light bitter fnish. Dry weeek caramellic notes. More like a dunkel than vienna. Watery palate.
