Pours a ruby/brown body with a thin head. Anonymous nose(I wrote sour socks in my notes). Quite sweet! But mild, good bodied, not thin or to watery. Medium carbonated with some caramel and little to no hops, still it feels quite OK balanced. Tuborg surprised me with this one this year, previous years this brew has been way to watery and boring. Can. Pours clear dark amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of caramel and roasted malts. Taste is light sweet. Zoney (144) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 28, 2010
500ml can. Pours golden with a short off-white head. Tastes like mass produced. Not impress with this one. Caramel helps, but it needs more :) ClubGonzo (5670) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 4, 2010
Can from a downtown supermarket in Bergen. Pours a deep coppery red body with a medium, short-lived khaki head. Nose is metallic dark malts and sugary sweetness. Taste is sugary dark malts with strong and somewhat disturbing elements of pure wort, while some metallic, dusty hops are rummaging around in the back. Not good. Hints of canned food and veggies in the aftertaste. Watery palate. Perhaps the worst of the grocery store Christmas beers in Norway I’ve had this far. 500 ml can. Clear amber body with an off-white head. Aroma is plain malt and caramel. Flavor is a bit sweet malty, some caramel with a faint hint of acid, not much bitter. Thin body, plain and frankly quite boring.
