The beer looks very nice. The color of the beer is a nice golden yellow. The color of the beer is very bright. The beer itself is very clear. Some bubbles can be seen rising towards the top. On top of the beer there is a nice layer of white, rough foam. The bulk of the foam collapses quickly, leaving a nice thin drape. The beer looks like a nice festive beer. The smell of the beer is nice. I smell a nice rich malfiness. I love it. It forms a good base for all the other aromas. On top of the rather sweet and slightly slightly biscuity malts, there is a nice fruity hop aroma. If is a typical German lager beer smell. I love it. There are some nice yeasty touches. The taste of the beer is good. It is bad a strong bitterness, a lovely nutty hoppy flavor, that reminds me of Warsteiner, and nice alcohol flavored. Everything is in good balmce. The bitter hops are balanced well by the sweeter malts. The late of the beer is good. Nice medium body, quite smooth and soft, with a nice medium light carbonation. The finish of the beer is nice. It contains some good hop bitternesses. The finish has a great mouth feeling. Lovely.

0,5l Flasche. Goldenes Bier, weisser Schaum. Süsslich getreidiger Duft. Etas Malz und Honig. Herb-süsslicher Antrunk. Recht flach. Es gibt deutlich bessere Weihnachtsbiere.

Ritzn (1656) - GERMANY - JAN 23, 2017
Clear golden with little white head. Aroma is musty hops, corn, slight peach. Taste is bitter noble hops, mustyness, and alcohol, some sour dust. Ugly finish of more dust. Too alcoholic for drinkability. Nah.

Drinking from a 0,5 l bottle. In the aroma spices and malt. The clear golden beer has a small white head. In the taste some bitter. Medium carbonated.
