From old tasting notes. Clear, bright, brassy gold hue with a small bead medium white heads. Fresh malt aroma has a hint of hops. Sweet toasted malt flavor dominates the palate initially. Midtaste is sweet but hoppy. Finish becomes bittersweet and complex. Well balanced, full balanced and obviously high in alcohol strength. Long bittersweet aftertaste. Mild in comparison to most German bocks. shrubber85 (11618) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JAN 2, 2005
UPDATED: JAN 13, 2005 Bottle (Labelled Lorenzi Mai Bock Hell). Mild flowery hops and malt aroma. Medium yellow with large lasting head. Melon hops flavor with only a slight astringent taste. Mild carbonation. Pretty nice and mild bock. fly (1487) - austin, Tejas, Texas, USA - DEC 6, 2002
Very interesting flavor that I don'tthink I'm competant enough to discribe. Also distracted by lying on the floor and playing with my kids in a half sleep. Still notes point to having enjoyed it. If I could only erad through the blurs. Remember some spicey notes not normally thought of in a bock, but being a light bock, not sure what is the norm.
