pivnizub (10624) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - DEC 21, 2008
Bottle. Clear, chestnut-amber coloured, small, persistent off-white head. caramelly-bitter nose with fruity and a roast-malty touch. Moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, quite soft MF. Caramelly and slightly bitter finish with some herbal undertones. Astonishingly good Dunkel by a mass-market producer........

Homer321 (5076) - Melboring, Florida, USA - JAN 1, 2014
Draft. Pours a clear, deep, dark red to light brown. About an inch of off white head. Aroma is like dark bread and crust. Taste is similar with a very sweet note, but kinda dries out in the finish. Not cloying but close.

3.3
DerWeg (1682) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 19, 2006
At Hotel Gasthof Sonne, neuendettelsau. Roasty matls and transparent brown, mainly bittering hops taste like 90% of stuff I drink here. Good.

3.3
MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JAN 15, 2007
Bottle, 5.4%. Clear brown colour, small white head. Quite malty aroma. The flavour is also malty with some earthy malt notes. Nice breadiness. Good, like watered-down Bajuvator.

3.3
Geiserich (4522) - Linz, AUSTRIA - NOV 5, 2007
Bottled: Intensive malty and caramelic aroma with light sweetness. Dark chestnut brown color with off-white foamy head. Light sweet, caramel flavor with few roasted malt aromas and few hop. Metallic and dry notes in the end. Quite ok but not too special.

3.3
goozen (4071) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - JUL 8, 2009
Tap at a bar in Kinding, Germany: Dark brown Bavarian Dunkel with a fine roasty taste and hints of chocolate.

3.3
Sdaniel90 (1082) - Mexico City, MEXICO - FEB 20, 2010
Bottle, 500ml. Pours a dark brown colour with a nice light brown head and great lacing. The aroma brings up dark malt notes and some caramel. Tastes of roasted malt, caramel, some light hoppiness and just a hint of coffee. Great beer.

3.3
judasbeer (431) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 25, 2010
Appearance: Deep chestnut tinted-body with a porous beige head on the top.
Aroma: Moderate lagery yeast sourness with a touch of earthy feel and some faint burnt sugar.
Flavor: Mildly sweet toffes, oily, nutty, toasty malts followed by a smooth, slighlty sour, yeasty notes and framed with soft and spicy hops.
Mouthfeel/Palate: Pleasantly easy but enough mouth-filling body with saturated carbonation and a good caramel malty-flavor-profile.
Overall: A very clean and pure bavarian dunkel. Not too unique, but tasy one.
