Bottled. A deep red beer with a tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, but also light notes of metal, leading to a very dry finish.

Botella. Clear deep dark brown colour with a short lasting head. Sweet well toasted maltiness with caramel and a mild bitterness in the aroma. Fair mouthfeel. The flavour has a soft sweetness with toasted malt and caramel along with some mild bitter hops. Dry toasty caramel finish.

MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - NOV 3, 2008
(bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a small beige foamy head. Sweet roast-malty aroma with notes of cacao, caramel and a delicate herbal hoppy blend. Slightly sweet flavour with a light roasty bitterness, solid malty with a tinge of dark bread, caramel and faint herbal accents; moderately dry and bitter, but also a bit slim and short finish. Anyway a decent Dunkel (31.X.08).

Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 11, 2010
It’s dark brown with a red hue and a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt, syrup and caramel. The flavour is sweet with notes of malt, syrup and caramel, and the finish is slightly dry with a hint of syrup. It’s nice, but the sweetness is a bit too strong, and makes me give a slightly lower score.
