A12 ounce bottle. Pours a barely translucent cola brown color with a large bubbly tan head. Aroma is of black olives, cola and roasted malt. First sip brings sweet roasted malt, sweetened black coffee and light molasses. Middle has a hint of piney hops and chocolate. Finish is charred wood, toasted walnuts and generic cola. jrodooo5 (1704) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - JAN 27, 2015
Not your traditional porter. Pours nearly black w/ almost no head or lacing. The aroma has soft chocolate notes. The flavor is quite sweet for a porter & next to no bitterness. It actually is pretty tasty but it’s understandable to be ripped for the style. It’s drinkable & tasty even if it doesn’t meet all of its style standards! guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - NOV 2, 2014
Dark, as prescribed, with a medium size beige head and good lacing. Sweet malt aroma with whiffs of milk chocolate and vanilla. Smokey sweet, earthy, moderately hopped flavor that pulls in more of the vanilla bean in the aftertaste. Medium to full bodied mouthfeel with a lingering finish. Very tasty.

Should be my 100th porter. Bottle, probably the first rate from their initial 12oz bottling, everything else from before being bigger or draft. Nose is lightly sweet, smoky and a little meaty. Pours dark, opaque brown leaning toward black with a fizzy/noisy tan head. Taste is woody with light tang alongside the sweetness, has a really nice subtle smokiness with the woody character, but this is decidedly a classically-styled porter, no big salty chocolate or heavy roast, and not really bitter at all. Medium body, mild fruit/vanilla and concealed alcohol. I trust they’ll work out the (very airy) yeast issues with time. anthony850 (473) - Andover, New Jersey, USA - DEC 10, 2013

Tap at crab/beer fest thing. Pours deep black with a small light brown head. Aromas of roasted malts, metal, light coffee, and a touch of smoke. The flavor is full of roasted goodness, light coffee, some toffee notes, and finishing a bit dry. Decent drinking and middle road. jredmond (8508) - New York, New York, USA - JUL 20, 2013
