Had on tap at the pub, this came a very dark brown, but let some light through, creamy tan head that was long lasting. Light malty aroma, and a creamy roasted flavor with bitter coffee/chocolate finish...quite good.
A thin off white head, chocolate, dark fruit and baked cake fill the succulent nose. The medium body gives off chocolate and baked cake tones with just a hint of a caramel finish. AWESOME! Murphy (1759) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - AUG 3, 2003
Slight molasses aroma. Dark color with grey head. Molasses in the taste, backed with hops. Surprisingly thin, but seemed appropriate. Smooth, easy drinking. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - AUG 1, 2003
UPDATED: OCT 13, 2003 Dark black color. Medium head. Aroma is chocolate. A medium bodied stout. Malts are roasted, chocolate and coffee. Hops are slightly spicy. Well balanced. Smooth taste. A lighter bodied stout, that not to bitter. It has a outstanding malt presence. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
