0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
This beer might be the most vile beverage I’ve ever imbibed. Pours a deep black color with a thin brown head. This is honestly the best part of this beer. Sadly, I didn’t just look at it. I kept going. Aroma was a mix of meat, soy-sauce, sweat , stale carpet and roast. Now you might be wondering to yourself "why would someone drink something that smelled like that?". Because I’m a goddamn soldier and I do it so you don’t have to! I took one for you buddy! As you can imagine the taste was...traumatic. Unbalanced throughout. Yes there’s roast and some faint chocolate but this is all polluted by the confusing presence of soy sauce and drywall. It’s salty, meaty, soy-saucy and chalky with some alcohol presence also. Mouthfeel was excellent though! HAHAHA...J/K! It felt slick and greasy, while at the same time leaving a lingering bitter saltiness. There is something terribly, terribly wrong with this stuff. The brewery should cut their losses and distill this and use it as fuel. At least then it’d be doing some good. What an abomination...
On tap at tugboat Portland. Pours out black topped with a small head. Nose is roast malts some odd chemical notes maybe some sort of nuclear waste. Taste is roast malts chocolate and as bad as the nose. gyllenbock (9328) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 9, 2016

@ Tugboat 16-3-8: en lite klen doft och smak med lite kemiska undertoner. Lite bitter choklad i eftersmaken. rosenbergh (11660) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 4, 2015
Draught at the Tugboat Brewing Co, Portland, OR.
Black colour with a tiny tan head.
Marmalade, sweetness, cocoa, chocolate, roasted malt and some hops in the aroma.
The flavour is roasted malt, dry ashy notes, dark chocolate, cocoa and some sweetish hoppy notes. Decent one.

Draft pour at tugboat in Portland. Like gravy. Thick milky cocoa and choclate taste. Monster beer. Good beer to have before going to Mary's next door

Bottle at Deans impromptu Monday night tasting. Poured a clear dark brown with a bubbly light tan head. The aroma is light yeast, alcohol. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a big alcohol liqourice palate. Medium bodied with flat carbonation. Like many high ABV beers the alcohol tends to dominate. Nice but not "that" nice. sic1314 (4775) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - MAR 17, 2014

On tap at Tugboat
Black with a big dark tan head and good lacing. Aroma and flavors of roasted malts, chemicals and metallic goodness
Wow, we were leaving and the bartender saw we left 2 full pints of terrible beer on the bar so he says "try this, it’s my favorite" and puts a sample of this on the bar. What’s a ticker to do!
